**US Immigration Paralegal**

**Main Responsibilities**:
- Filling out USCIS forms
- Communicating with clients on behalf of the attorney
- Document collection from the clients
- Client onboarding
- Take notes in case management system(s) about cases and client communication
- Preparing documents for immigration cases
- Helping the attorney as needed.

If hired for this position, you will likely work in a specific US time zone. Immigration Finder is based in San Diego, California in the United States. If you get hired with one of our clients, you will need to work according to their schedule.
Generally speaking the schedule is 9 - 18 in whatever American time zone the company is located in. However, that may vary based on their needs.
We do daylight savings in the United States, so your schedule will change for part of the year if you are in a country that doesn't observe daylight savings. **Other than Mexico, no Latin American countries observe daylight savings time. **Please Google this if you aren't familiar with it.
You must be comfortable and proficient using different types of software to succeed in this role. You will also need to be set up with your own internet and computer/laptop in order to work here. Equipment will not be provided to you to start working this job if you are hired.

- You will be paid as a contractor.

What we do is run advertisements for jobs, interview you, and start interviewing you with the lawyers we work with if we see potential.
For this position, we need someone to handle human resources, billing, and payroll.

- **Managing Client Relationships**
- Communicate with clients on a regular basis.
- Manage customer service for client inquiries.
- Contact clients when their case is still pending to let them know that the wait is still happening(US immigration takes a long time to process).
- Screen requests for the attorney to see if they need to get involved.
**Preparing Immigration Cases**:
- Filling out USCIS forms.
- Preparing packets online for the attorney to review.
- Consolidating needed documents and resources for the case.
- Double checking things.
- Writing parts of immigration cases.
**Client Intake / Administration**:
- Collect necessary documents from the client(s).
- Do intake calls with the client(s) to collect information and speed up the process of getting the case started.
- Opening digital file for the client(s).
- Proactively start the working process with clients.
**Software used**:
- CRM Software (i.e. Clio Grow, Pipedrive, etc)
- Case Management System (i.e. Clio Manage)
- Google Suite
- Online Phone System (i.e. RingCentral)
- Calendly
- USCIS form filling software
