As a Test Writing Product Development Engineer your responsibilities will include but not be limited to: - Design and development of functional tests for cutting edge technology microprocessors to assure high quality of products - Interact very closely with design teams to deep dive on microprocessors architecture, features, and DFT logic; to develop functional test content for these products - Isolation of microprocessor manufacturing failures to achieve test hole identification and resolution through functional testing development - Development of tools in high level programming languages to automate processes and perform data analysis for high volume testing results - Ensure the testability and manufacturability of integrated circuits from the component feasibility stage through production ramp - Make significant contributions to design development and validation of testability circuits - Evaluation, development and debug of complex test methods - Autonomously plans and schedules own daily tasks, develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgment.
**Qualifications**:
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position Relevant experience can be obtained through schoolwork classes and project work internships and or work experience
Minimum Qualifications
- Have a Bachelor's degree or be an advanced student in Electrical, Electronics or Computer Engineering or related areas
- At least 1 year of experience with programming languages such as Perl, python, C, etc
- At least 1 year of experience as a Silicon debugger. Including computer and system architecture concepts
- Advanced English verbal and written communication skills
- Costa Rican unrestricted work permit
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in the following areas will be considered a plus:
Intel Architecture - x86 assembly language
Hardware Description Languages (Verilog/HDL/Verdi)
Unix/Linux environment
Experience in Testing Methodologies
Test content development generation and validation
Good understanding and or experience in DFT hardware testing methods and tools
Experience in logic validation and characterization
Fundamental knowledge of DFx including exposure to Automated Test Equipment tester platforms
