Your Role
Gensler's Costa Rica office is seeking an exceptionally talented and passionate Landscape Architect to join our team of design thinkers and doers who specialize in helping to tell stories and create experiences in the context of the built environment. You will work in a multi-disciplinary studio that includes landscape, urban designers, architects, and interior designers.
What You Will Do
- Working closely with the Studio Director and design team to develop urban planning and landscaping solution for various types of projects.
- Develop, collaborate and present design concepts, ideas, and proposals to clients, consultants, and project teams.
- Participate in meetings with clients, consultants, and project teams.
- Conduct site visits, analyze sites, and develop design solutions that address site-specific challenges and opportunities.
- Develop detailed landscape drawings, specifications, and construction documentation.
- Coordinate with contractors and other project stakeholders during the design and construction phases to ensure designs are implemented correctly.
- Inspire and promote collaboration across disciplines to spark innovation, motivate talent and support design experimentation across the office.
- Be an advocate for Gensler sustainability commitments internally and externally.
- Make sustainability and environmental conservation an integral part of every landscape project.
- Define project sustainability targets in collaboration with the client and the project team at the start of each project.
- Understand clients ESG goals and work with project teams towards achieving them.
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor of Architecture.
- 2+ years of relevant architectural experience, with 1+ years of recent landscape experience.
- Experienced in using AutoCAD, Revit, and have solid 3D computer skills in Sketch-up, Rhino, or 3D Max. Proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Experience with LandFX is highly desirable.
- Able to work across a variety of sectors, including mixed-use, commercial, residential, hospitality and education as part of a multi-disciplinary team of professionals.
- Highly motivated, with a proactive attitude and eager to learn.
- Proactive in your approach to progress our design, by seeking new ways to innovate, grow our business and inspire the team.
