**Position Summary**:
The Systems Administrator is responsible for general duties in the Information Technology Department. These duties include provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure. This individual ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values, enabling staff and partners to effectively deliver services to VegaNext Clients effectively and efficiently. This individual is accountable for the following systems: Linux and Windows servers, Windows desktop systems, specialized equipment, software and servers, telephone systems, network-connected printers, and all network infrastructure including switches, routers, battery backups and associated enterprise connectivity. Responsibilities on these systems include provisioning, operations, support and maintenance.

**Position Responsibilities**:
Provisioning

1. Installing and configuring hardware and software components to insure usability for end-user workstations and data center servers.

2. Compliance with established standards and procedures for systems installation and configuration.

3. Contribute to and maintain departmental standards for deployment.

**Operations and Support**

1. End-user support, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues.

2. Repairing or replacing damaged or nonfunctional hardware.

3. Backup security and system monitoring duties as assigned

**Monitoring and maintaining computer systems.**

1. Advance networking knowledge and troubleshooting (Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP, VPN, Wireless, VMware, VEEM, Firewalls/Routers)

2. Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests utilizing the IT Ticketing System.

3. Strong Knowledge of outlook, Office 365 Admin and Microsoft Server.

4. Experience with VOIP Technology.

5. Azure cloud, share point, AWS cloud.

Monitor statewide patch management infrastructure ensuring prompt and reliable monthly Windows cumulative updates.

5+ years administering Windows servers, including SQL

5+ years providing user support in a corporate environment

5+ years managing network equipment (firewalls, routers, switches, etc.)

2+ Years administering and troubleshooting Office 365 environments (Mail, OneDrive, SharePoint)

2+ Years administering VMWare environments

Ability to commute/relocate:

- San José, Provincia de San José: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
