**Main duties & responsibilities**:
- Develop innovative ideas and alternatives to be cost competitive with Proposals.
- Help to put in place the initiatives and improvements implemented by the department or manager.
- Correct all identified quality issues by working within Project Proposals and other departments in the organization that impact offer quality.
- Drive standardization of procedures and offer documents to improve consistency throughout the proposal process. Incorporate identified changes to meet customer needs and quality objectives.
- Drive consistency within the Power Pursuits organization to promote standard solutions and offerings.
- Prepare firm and budgetary vibration and turbine control offers in response to customer requests for proposals. However, other offer types could be required.
- Manage clarifications and assumptions and ensure information contained within is properly presented in the proposal narrative in order to effectively bound scope and supply requirements.
- Interface and work effectively with projects, field service, engineering, manufacturing, commercial integration and finance.
- Develop "Best Cost" solutions to meet customer needs.
- Lead offer negotiations with customers
- Review Purchase Orders and work with customers until it accurately reflects the offered scope.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Provide support to the team (Price Book / Quoting tools)
- Show expertise, quality and value added.
**Qualifications & education requirements**:
- BS in Electronics, Electrical, Electromechanical, Mechatronics or related field
- Advanced skills in the Microsoft Office suite of tools, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Knowledgeable in field instrumentation, metering, control, automated valves, vibration systems, gas & steam turbine controls.
- Prior experience in Ovation proposals preparation.
- Power and/or Water Industry knowledge.
- At least 8 years of closely related experience with the ability to structure creative deals for customer solutions, negotiate contracts, and deal effectively with customers.
- At least 5 years of directly related experience with Siemens TXP, Siemens T3000, GE Mark IV, and/or GE Mark V turbine controls and associated mechanical/hydraulic systems.
- Strong working command of the English language, at least B2 Upper Intermediate level of English is required.
