Pfizer's Global Business Services (GBS) Shared Services is a well-established operation with beginnings in Memphis, Tenn., in 1997. The organization expanded to Europe in 2003, Asia in 2007, Latin America in 2013, Eastern Europe in 2014, and AFME in 2016. GBS Shared Services has a workforce of more than 1,000 Pfizer colleagues, in addition to a successful partnership with a Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) partner, Genpact, in one location globally.

The GBS Procure to Pay Team Lead role is responsible for oversight and managing a team that supports Americas markets' P2P activities including Purchasing Requisition, Vendors Creation and Maintenance, Invoice processing, Issue resolution, payment processing and P2P Global Support. This role supports senior leadership in the management of P2P operations for the markets supported by the GBS San Jose.

The P2P Team Lead is responsible for delivering operations of the Procure-to-Pay process at high-quality standards in line with key objectives and agreed service levels. Define and implement P2P best practices according to industry standards and in line with Pfizer's strategy; taking into consideration accounting standards, internal controls, and regional policies and leveraging technology platforms to bring effectiveness and efficiencies to the operation. Operational delivery through the engagement of both internal and external stakeholders and service providers.

The primary purpose of the role is the management of the P2P payment processing providing the rush payment for NAM and LATAM regions.

This position includes other administrative support activities that are assigned and deemed necessary for team management.

Position Responsibilities
- Monitor daily operation to ensure meeting established service level agreements, adhering to statutory requirements and any special country processing requirements.
- Review the monthly operational performance with management team/stakeholders to identify the recommendations for improvements.
- Resolve customers/teams escalations with effective decision.
- Partner with stakeholders to work on all global and country initiatives, maintain a high level satisfaction of TIP.
- Ensure Working Instructions and other process related documents are maintained and updated in a timely manner.
- Ensure controls and compliance checks are in place and reviewed on a regular basis.
- Construct compelling development plans for the colleagues, grow the colleagues base on talent, strengths and abilities
- Works closely with the senior team leads to prioritize team workload and proactively follow up on outstanding items
- Owns P2P procedures from start to finish, ensuring the best possible outcome
- Management is the first point of contact for all P2P customers
- Ability to solve highly complex issues that involve multiples areas
- Partner with senior leadership to develop and translate the vision and strategy of Procure to Pay from a systems, process, policy, and procedures perspective.
- Maintains and when possible exceeds metrics and goals helps to monitor metrics
- Takes initiative in identifying processes and initiatives that fit into our Digital Finance strategy
- Thinks strategically with strong analytical and process management skills
- Capable of leading a team that may be extended to a third-party outsourced team
- Actively supports our GBS value proposition by keeping processes aligned with our delivery model and global standard
- Enhance our internal controls structures and optimize our processes
- Leads and supports, in-house processes, continuous improvement initiatives, projects, and stakeholder collaborations
- Ensure the timely and proper execution of adequate internal controls and understanding of the SOPs
- Liaise and collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders as well as Senior Leaders across Pfizer to help drive shared goals and implement initiatives
- Responsible for keeping accurate and up-to-date Work Instructions, Job Aids, and Desktop Procedures documentation
- Knows and comprehends the accounting cycle involved in each customer´s interaction, being able to assess the impact of his/her actions in a broader picture of the organization
- Provide guidance and leadership regarding complex global P2P processes and procedures
- Takes primary responsibility for market engagement initiatives
- Conducts a regular review of the process's performance alongside other colleagues and managers, providing expert guidance and coaching to other colleagues
- Maintain complete and accurate standard operating procedures and SOX-related internal control documentation.
- Acts decisively to optimize practices, address risks, and give guidance to colleagues within the teams
- Ensures internal and external customer satisfaction by developing partnerships, understanding business unit unique requirements, being responsive, and resolving issues in a timely manner
