As the Director, Human Resources you will oversee handling employee relations, ensuring compliance with regulations, managing budgets, assessing staffing needs, and developing compensation plans. You will plan, lead, direct, develop, and coordinate the policies, activities, and staff of the Human Resource (HR) department, ensuring legal compliance and implementation of the organizations mission.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Develops, recommends, and implements human resources policies and procedures, ensures all policy related documentation is legislatively compliant and up to date
- Act as trusted advisor and sounding board to senior management on complex employee issues and employee legal matters
- Partners with the extended global HR team and leaders to drive implementation of strategies and programs, measure and track success and proactively drive improvement.
- Develop and mentor HR team members
- Provide guidance to HR team on all ISO and BMS processes to ensure that team is trained and compliant
- Coordinate global HR and Operations teams to update production compensation plans
- Analyze annual benefits report and make recommendations for benefits renewal for applicable locations
- Provide guidance and assistance with any company related Immigration matters globally as required
- Deal with clients in a professional and appropriate manner, in accordance with the Company's Mission Statement, Promise of Performance, and Company Policy
- Facilitate Health and Safety procedures to ensure compliance to legislations
**Education & Experience**
College Diploma or University Degree, courses in Human Resources
5-10 years Human Resources work experience covering multiple disciplines
Minimum of 5 years in a Human Resources Managerial role or equivalent work experience outside of the Company
**Certificates, Licenses, & Registration**:
Membership in a professional Human Resources organization (e.g. HRPAO or SHRM) is required. Working toward HR designation is an asset.
