Objective
Within the JCI Costa Rica GCoE MEP plan and lead the design process, based on the development of the different stages of each Project, together with your work team.
Tasks and responsibilities
- Development of the designs of the projects assigned according to the guidelines established by the Project Coordinator. All complexity projects with little supervision from Project Engineers, only if necessary
- Limited leading of Design Engineers in Medium-High complexity projects
- Use the design tools to perform and document the estimates of the Project. These memories of calculation and other documents developed should be archived digitally with the Project.
- Generate the change order and report it to the director in charge and the control
- Assist the meeting/visits to the site for coordination purposes with clients/suppliers to follow up on the development of the projects.
- Investigate and find information referring to the electromechanical systems laid out, whether it's through the internet or directly with suppliers, contractors or representatives of the product/system, according to the requirements of each project in charge.
- Request quotes so a notion exists of the cost of the electrical equipment. (Transformers, generators, substations, UPS, cables, among other) and mechanical systems (fire pumps, clean water pumps, air conditioning equipment, forced ventilation, gas, valves, among others.)
- Peer reviews
- Hours budget
- Design performance improvement strategies
- Be accountable for the projects budget
- Perform other tasks proper to the position.
Job requirements
- Bachelors in Electrical, mechanical or electromechanical engineering, incorporated in the "Colegio de Ingenieros y Arquitectos de Costa Rica.
- Validated at least three years of experience in the elaboration of electromechanical design blueprints.
- Knowledge in interpreting and elaborating the electromechanical blueprints in a digital manner, AutoCAD and Revit Intermediant skills, Dialux and Microsoft office. Knowledge and international design codes.
- 200 hours internal-external MEP techincal training
- 50 hours internal-external soft skills training
- Effective and professional communication skills with B1 English level.
