The Industrial Engineer Student will work within Industrial Engineer Department, undertake challenges designed to blend strategic and operational work. Detail work include:
- Conducts studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems. On the basis of these studies, develops and implements plans and programs for facility modifications and revisions to operating methods.
- Determines the most efficient sequence of operations and workflow and establishes methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel. Develops metrics to measure equipment and factory capacity and output, and to identify equipment and process flow bottlenecks.
- May establish or assist in establishing accident prevention measures and may plan and schedule training programs for personnel concerning all phases of production operations.
- Responds to customer/client requests or events as they occur. Develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgement.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's or Licenciatura student in Industrial Engineer, Mathematics and related major. Proficiency with the Microsoft Office of tools including Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Intermediate-advanced Excel, including the use of pivot tables, advanced logic functions, and other complex formulas.
- Advanced English level (able to communicate both verbally and written in a clear and concise manner).
- Applicants must have permanent-unrestricted right to work in Costa Rica
