**ABOUT UA/UNIFORM ADVANTAGE BRANDS**

As part of our expansion plans as a growing, global organization, Costa Rica was chosen to open a Shared Services Center, which started operations in December 2020. While our Costa Rica business office is based in the beautiful and sunny province of Heredia, at a convenient We Work building with wonderful co-working space, most of our global team members in Costa Rica are able to work exclusively from home.

**WHAT YOU'LL DO**
- Perform diverse and complex assignments, requiring a high degree of ingenuity and creativity, covering a wide area of HR functions (i.e. employee relations, recruiting, total rewards administration & communication, change management, organizational development, and performance management).
- Establish a regular cadence of communication with functional leaders in US based HQ in order to improve work relationships, build engagement, and increase productivity and retention with their CR based teams.
- Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, including terminations. Conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations. Maintain knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance specific to Costa Rican labor law.
- Serve as primary liaison to external HR services provider on managing timely, cost effective and regulatory compliant payroll and benefits administration. Interface with corporate HR and finance departments to ensure appropriate reporting, manage auditing, identify process/cost improvements.
- Develop and maintain appropriate information/recordkeeping/reporting on KPI's related to CR office operations and team performance.
- Drive employee engagement and retention efforts through skip-level reviews, retention interviews, pulse surveys, and employee engagement events.
- Contribute, in partnership with company-wide HR & Finance colleagues, in assessing, recommending, implementing, and leading/assisting strategic initiatives and projects that support and drive the overall business strategy.

**WHAT YOU'LL BRING**
- High level fluency in both English (C1/C2 level) and Spanish; strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel, both verbally and in writing.
- Strong advising skills, comprehensive understanding of HR principles, knowledge of Costa Rican employment and labor laws, and experience in resolving employee relation issues.
- Negotiation skills; able to manage effective relationships with external partners
- Data-driven problem solver with a continuous improvement mindset. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to collaborate effectively and participate in strategic team planning and implementation.
- Intermediate/Advanced knowledge of HR related software/business related computer programs, Excel in particular

**EXPERIENCE**
- 5-7 years of previous senior HR professional level experience with at least 3 years in a managerial role
- Experience working for international company with operations based in Costa Rica managing Payroll, Compensation & Benefits design and administration, policy development and employee engagement strategies for a CR based company
- Start up/expansion of site operations experience
- Experience with HR Business Partner model
- Demonstrated experience in office management-principles of accounts payable, managing/negotiating with property management and other business vendors

**EDUCATION**
- University/Bachelor's equivalent degree in HR, Business or a related field.

**WHERE YOU'LL WORK**

**_REMOTE_**_ _**_- Primarily Work from Home ; occasional office visits_**

Have workplace flexibility - you'll work primarily from the comfort of your home with no commute. As head of our Costa Rica divisional operations, you may occasionally need to go into our office in Heredia on an as needed basis (typically no more than once a week). Remote employees are expected to be online and available during the core business hours for their team. Company computer equipment provided for business use.
