Citi's US Personal Banking (USPB) business is a key market within our PBWM segment (Personal Bank and Wealth Management). The Marketing & Network Finance team is tasked with overseeing the budget and enhancing the financial analytics around our on-going marketing investments across USPB, including driving enhanced processes, analytical rigor and deepening insights. The team partners closely with the various regions, products, and functions to analyze and present financial results and develop strategies regarding our Network partner relationships. The team has the unique position of seeing a holistic and strategic view of the business and the industry.
PBWM consists of U.S. Personal Banking - inclusive of Branded Cards, Retail Services and U.S. Retail Banking - and Global Wealth Management - inclusive of our consumer wealth businesses and the global Citi Private Bank.
The VP FP&A Lead Analyst is responsible for providing financial support to the Global Networks Business and Marketing teams. We are looking for a highly analytical and dynamic individual to support the team. In order to execute on our critical priorities, this person will partner closely with leaders across Network, Marketing, Analytics, Risk, and Finance.
**Key responsibilities**
- Marketing Expense Management
- broad set of activities in support of ensuring delivery of Plan/Olk Marketing expense, contra, and core KPIs, as well as Direct expense.
- Network team
- execution of the Global Network financial processes including results, allocation and reimbursement, critical business decisions, management reviews, ad-hoc performance analysis. Collaborate with business and regional finance teams to drive execution of the Global Network financial processes
- Analyze results against Plan/Outlook and assess risk & opportunity to support timely business decisions.
- Respond quickly, timely and accurately to urgent requirements and senior management data needs.
- Drive continuous enhancement of governance and controls, and support FP&A transformation efforts within PBWM Finance.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with the businesses, analytics, regional and corporate finance and other functional teams
- Drive process improvement and enhanced financial rigor within our internal marketing investment approval and optimization processes.
- Syndicate key messages with senior Business leaders to garner key stakeholder engagement.
**Qualifications**:
- 7 years of relevant experience in financial services.
- Expertise in financial modeling.
- Excellent team collaboration and partnership skills.
- Excellent communication skills, including writing and presentation. The ability to understand and articulate complex financial concepts.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking.
- A pro-active self-starter who can continue to push concepts forward with mínimal guidance.
- Ability to manage and prioritize effectively and resolve conflicting priorities.
- Extensive background in financial planning, business analytics and related finance disciplines.
