Citi's US Personal Banking (USPB) business is a key market within our PBWM segment (Personal Bank and Wealth Management). We offer branded cards, retail services and retail banking. The USPB Marketing Finance team is tasked with overseeing the budget and enhancing the financial analytics around our on-going marketing investments across USPB, including driving enhanced processes, analytical rigor and deepening insights. Additionally, the team provides strategic CFO support to the USPB Chief Marketing Officer.
**Key responsibilities**
- Drive process improvement and enhanced financial rigor within our internal marketing investment approval and optimization processes.
- Drive enhanced decisioning across the marketing optimization funnel.
- Establish, own, analyze, and draw insights from program/product level P&Ls within a segment of Marketing, including new account/balance efficiency.
- Lead and develop business cases for new and existing Marketing capabilities investments.
- Own (provide insight & input in) the overall Operating Expense budget and forecast, through engagement with CMO executive office and other partners; ensure financial targets are met, provide insightful input into reporting and variances, utilizing financial report output created by the reporting team.
- Syndicate key messages with senior Business leaders to garner key stakeholder engagement.
- Provide CFO support and strategic direction to USPB Marketing leadership, including producing high quality materials to concisely communicate insights.
- Provide continued thought leadership around the evolution of the team and our ability to deliver on our stated objectives.
**Qualifications**:
- 10+ years in finance roles,
- Significant experience in the consumer banking space preferred
- Excellent team leadership and partnership skills: ability to work with and influence senior management across multiple levels of the organization.
- Excellent communication skills, including writing and presentation. The ability to understand and articulate complex financial concepts.
- Proven operational and financial leadership with ability to drive results
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking.
- A pro-active self-starter who can continue to push concepts forward with mínimal guidance.
- Ability to manage and prioritize effectively and resolve conflicting priorities.
- Extensive background in financial planning, business analytics and related finance disciplines.
**Education**
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- MBA / CFA is a plus
