We are seeking a **DevOps Engineer II **to join our team. This is a remote opportunity based in Costa Rica.
**Job Summary**
The DevOps Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the automations for software delivery, monitoring and alerting, and operation of Imprivata's PAM infrastructure. Utilizing the principles of DevOps and aligning with our Development team, the Engineer will be a key contributor to our efforts to enable fast and efficient delivery of new software for our on-premise and Cloud based offerings, while supporting current operational needs and designing our next generation operational framework and related processes.
**Duties and Responsibilities**- Managing the Automation pipeline along with build/deploy tools and software, including their development, implementation, optimization, and support.- Providing technical guidance for project delivery and efficient operational services- Develop and integrate system monitoring and metrics tools ensuring continuous feedback and improvements to the automation process.- Ensuring changes to the production environments are documented, tested, and approved.- Collaborating with engineering and the business stakeholders to support the delivery of regular software updates while maintaining a high level of availability.- Work with Support Services, other teams and management to facilitate a robust incident management system and process.
**Required Qualifications**- 3+ years' experience working in a software product development organization using DevOps principles is required.- Excellent knowledge of a scripting language such as Python.- Working knowledge of GitHub and GitHub actions is preferred.- Experience with configuration management tools (e.g. Ansible, Terraform), container technologies (e.g. Kubernetes, Docker) is a strong plus.- Experience working with AWS and Linux/Windows OS is required.- Demonstrated ability to implement and optimize automated software builds and testing using both off-the-shelf and in house tools.- Good understanding of Linux system configuration, administration, and troubleshooting- Good knowledge of common networking and TCP/IP concepts (firewalls, proxies, etc.) is desirable.-
- Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining monitoring and metrics systems which provide business stakeholders with system performance and operational feedback is desirable.- The ability to understand situations empathically and understand problems by organizing information logically. This includes anticipating problems for root causes and alternative solutions. An effective communicator (both verbal and written) that can work with all levels and departments in the organization.
