Trax Deployment Services Project Managers are responsible for the timely implementation of new client engagements, rolling out incremental phases for existing clients, and delivering cross-functional strategic initiatives. Working directly with a team of professionals globally, managing a portfolio of client-facing projects, and directly engaging with clients (typically large, global companies with significant logistics spend) and their carrier partners (e.g., UPS, DHL, Expeditors, etc.) to execute deliverables.
**The Responsibilities**:
- Develop the project charter, integrated project plan, resource plan, contingency plan, and related project management artifacts
- Coordinate and own governance meetings with clients, typically a weekly project meeting and monthly steering committee for critical stakeholders.
- Define and track project milestones while developing, maintaining, and reporting on an overall integrated delivery plan
- Quickly develop a deep understanding of client needs, Trax's product offering, and the path to deliver value by facilitating required data gathering sessions with work teams and client
- Manage client expectations against contractual commitments and agreed on project scope
- Identify project risks and ensure mitigation plans are in place, working to resolve or escalate issues promptly
- Rigorously manage scope to ensure commitments are achieved within agreed on time, cost, and quality parameters
- Work closely with internal business partners and stakeholders in a matrix environment to ensure project results are of the highest caliber
- Quickly earn the trust of sponsors and key stakeholders; mobilize and motivate teams; set direction and approach; resolve conflict; deliver tough messages with grace; execute with limited information and ambiguity
- Acts as an advocate for continuous improvement, identifying opportunities and efficiencies both in Professional Services and the wider business to improve the success of projects and the overall customer experience
- Accountable for the definition (scoping), planning, and delivery of a given implementation or strategic initiative
**The Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in Information Technology, Accounting, Business Administration, or related discipline
- 4+ years of project management experience
- Exemplary core project management skills, including multiple aspects of the PMBOK
- Experience in deploying Software as a Service
- Experience in supply chain or logistics preferred
- Ability to multi-task, work independently, and excel in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Ability to navigate a highly matrixed organization effectively
- Solid influencing skills
- Sound business and technical acumen
- Experience with stakeholder management at all levels of the business
- Focused and versatile team player that is comfortable under pressure
- Ability to communicate at all levels with clarity and precision, both written and verbally
- Strong presentation skills

- Demonstrated, applied experience establishing and delivering complex projects
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Strong knowledge of MS Project, MS Office Suites, and Smartsheet.
- PMP Certification is desirable but not required
- Willing to be assigned in the NIGHT SHIFT (9:00pm-6:00am) and flexible to shifts as may deem necessary
