We're looking for a **Data Scientist** to join the Product Strategy team at Modus.
**About You**

You will be responsible for delivering the best digital mobile app in collaboration with colleagues and other contributors. Working closely with the back end development team and business stakeholders, you will leverage organizational data, evaluate business insight needs and develop analytics and visualizations that invoke action.
You have worked with remote, globally distributed teams. Your primary focus will be to train, evaluate and serve large AI models, build internet-scale datasets and help prototype new product and research Ideas. Also utilize data science techniques to manipulate large structured and unstructured data sets, identify patterns in raw data, and develop models to predict the likelihood of a future outcome and/or to optimize business solutions. You also continuously learn about the latest developments in LLM infrastructure and capabilities in order to offer frontier products.
Strong client-facing and teamwork skills are needed. Prior experience in a similar role with an early stage, fast paced start-up in an agile environment is required. The ability to quickly learn and understand specific client processes is essential and also identify opportunities and obstacles to ensure customer success. Proven expertise with consumer apps, ideally with social and gamification features is a plus. Experience with Jira and Confluence is preferred, but not required.
You are proficient in using query languages and relational SQL and NoSQL databases. You are able to present data in a simple, clean, concise visual and written manner. You have experience with common data science toolkits. You are familiar with machine learning techniques and algorithms.
You love learning and understand that software is an ever-evolving world. You enjoy playing with new tech and exploring areas that you might not have experience with yet. You are self-driven, self-learner willing to share knowledge and participate actively in your community.
Having overlap with your team is critical when working in a global remote team. Modus requires all team members to overlap with EST hours daily. In addition, reliable high speed internet is a must.
