**SUMMARY**
Responsible for inspecting, testing, adjusting and repairing avionics equipment such as radar, radio, pulse navigation autopilot and compass systems using hand tool, computers and test equipment to ensure airworthiness of the aircraft and its systems.
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Inspect components of avionics equipment for defects, such as loose connections and frayed wire, and for accuracy of
assembly and installation.
- Test avionics equipment under simulated or actual operating conditions to determine performance and airworthiness,
using test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, digital meters and counters, and circuit analyzers.
- Adjust, repair, or replace defective components based on analysis of test results, following blueprints, schematics,
handbooks, and other technical documents, using hand tools.
- Calibrates installed or repaired equipment to prescribed specifications.
- Accompany flight crew to perform in-flight adjustments and to determine and record required post-flight repair work.
- Complies with FAR required maintenance such as 91.411 and 91.413 inspections.
- Operate ground station for air-to-station check of radar or other equipment.
- Fabricate wiring harnesses.
- Complies with Avionics upgrades and modifications.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization policies and applicable laws.

**NATIONALIZATION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Provide Host Nation training and oversight of avionics mechanics in support of performing maintenance on aircraft and their associated engines and sub-systems to ensure airworthiness.
- Provide oversight and training for maintenance contractors if required.
- Assist with the development of a HN mechanic training program and the creation of targeted On the Job (OJT) training modules to address capability deficiencies when identified.
- Comply with technical data as outlined in US army Manual 95-1 and DA/DOS PAM 738-750/751 or U.S. Air Force Technical Order and DoS supplements and SOPs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
**EDUCATION and** EXPERIENCE**
Required:
- High School diploma or GED.
- FCC License with Element 3 or FAA A and P license.
- Must be a graduate of a 2 year electronics and avionics technical school or possess equivalent experience.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in aircraft electronics installation, troubleshooting, inspection, maintenance, and repair required.
- Must have prior experience maintaining specific assigned aircraft. UH-1
- Must have experience with working from blueprint drawings, diagram, specifications, service manuals, sketches,
templates, and other incomplete data.
- CMF 15 aviation MOS series or another military or commercial equivalent, 15N preferred.
- U.S. Security Clearance Required.
- Host nation language proficiency per contract requirement. LATAM countries: Spanish Level 2 in both Listening and Reading (L2/R2).
