**The Opportunity**
This position works out of our Costa Rica - Alajuela location in the Electrophysiology Division In Abbott's Electrophysiology (EP) business, we're advancing the treatment of heart disease through breakthrough medical technologies in atrial fibrillation, allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives.
As the **Training Supervisor IV**, you will responsible for leading all training activities to deliver expected business results on a day to day basis. He/She is primary responsible for ensuring fulfillment of all training related tasks, using his/her complete knowledge of the quality system, people management skills, company policies and manufacturing procedures.
**What You'll Do**
- Supervisory responsibility for training team in order to accomplish training plans in compliance with the requirements of the quality system. Assure that trainers maintain required training records including employee training, completion, certification, and compliance in production and training data bases. Creates/runs training reports as necessary. Design systems to evaluate trainee's performance in terms of safety, production, yield and productivity.
- Partners with engineering to support the generation/development of Training Certifications. Propose Review and update Training Certifications updates as require. Develop the required training plans to accomplish the production goals which include safety indicators, productivity, quality and cost.
- Coordinate and Lead sending site training system assessment and activities and identify QMS differences between sending site and receiving site, to ensure the accomplishment of the closing gap plans according to project timeline and priorities. Appraise key topics to be covered during sending site's training phase to grant operators proficiency (operation performance, process knowledge and product pass/fail criteria).
- Lead regular audits to verify compliance on manufacturing procedures, GMP and quality documentation requirements.
- Create assessments to evaluate trainers' performance, provide continued feedback, reinforce and recognize the desired behavior and confront the unaccepted behavior. Assure the company principles and policies are consistently followed.

**Required Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree Industrial Engineering, Administration or similar careers.
- 5-7 years of experience in training areas, proficiency on manufacturing systems used to collect data and control/monitor processes. For example, SFA, SAP, Kronos, or similar / Demonstrated knowledge of ISO and quality systems as FDA, MDR.
- Willing to travel for long periods.
- Advance command of English language.
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Desired demonstrated knowledge of LEAN manufacturing six sigma or other process improvement techniques.
- Previous experience with instructional design tool.
- Previous experience with QSIT.
- Knowledge/ experience TWI (Training Within Industry).
