**The Opportunity**
This position works out of our Alajuela, location in the Electrophyshilogy division. In Abbott's Electrophysiology (EP) business, we're advancing the treatment of heart disease through breakthrough medical technologies in atrial fibrillation, allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives.
As Sr Electrical Engineer, you'll have the responsibility (under direct supervision from the Facilities Manager) to lead engineers and technicians to support the operation in Costa Rica regarding the electromechanical systems availability, maintenance programs (corrective, preventive, predictive, TPM), quality and regulatory compliance, EHS programs, technical operation/support and projects execution. The selected person must be accountable and provide direction to his team to achieve the results base on the strategies on short and long terms defined by Costa Rica Site.
**What You'll Do**
- Supervise Facilities Technician and Engineers as part of the day to day operation.
- Maintain all facilities critical electrical (control and power) systems at the highest reliability to support operations needs and in compliance with Quality and Regulatory requirements.
- Support local & global strategies to achieve sustainability global goals.
- Support EMS and Energy Management System (EnMS) Programs and Initiatives related with Environmental, Health, Safety.
- Applies methodologies so the site and facilities projects can be done on time and at the best cost possible.
- Supervise and perform projects related to the continuous improvement of our site existing facilities and utilities.

**Required Qualifications**
- B.S. in Electrical, Electromechanical, Electronical or Maintenance Engineering.
- 5 years of experience in a regulated industry (Medical, Pharmaceutical, or Electronics)
- Minimum 4 years supervisory experience. Preferably in a medical device, pharmaceutical, or electronic industry.
- Knowledge in the following software: Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, AutoCAD and Microsoft Project.
- Advance Bilingual (English and Spanish) / Required
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Knowledge of OSHA, FDA, GMP and ISO guidelines.
- Solid Experience on power distribution, medium and low voltage, emergency power, fire detection and protection systems; and Electrical equipment selection, operation and maintenance.
