Excellent understanding of component parameters of common electrical and electro-mechanical devices such as resistors, capacitors, inductors, ferrite beads, sensors, various ICs Advanced ability to create and manage documentation according to design control procedures.
Thorough understanding of revision control for design and documentation.
Experience in the medical device field or other regulated industry preferred.
Understanding of medical device standards & chemical compliance standards (e.g.
RoHS/REACH) preferred.

Responsible for component engineering solutions for new and legacy products.
Work individually and in a team to identify proper components for the specifications determined.
Collaborate cross-functionally with to resolve component related issues.
This may include electrical engineering, manufacturing, global supply chain, quality, and vendors.
Specifies, evaluates, and selects electronic and electro-mechanical components.
Triage initial component issues, resolving some problems directly or escalating other issues to engineering team.
Must be able to problem solve on component tasks and demonstrate a strong commitment to production needs.
Evaluate new and alternative compliant components for engineering and production.
Develops and maintains processes related to component tracking, selection, and usage.
Complete review and documentation for new products and components to ensure all parts meet chemical compliance requirements.
Creates supporting documentation such as component comparison documents and engineering change orders.
Executes change control documentation in accordance with procedures for evaluation and implementation of components.
Review and understand design and compliance requirements to make proper component selection.
Incorporates chemical compliance, availability and EOL data when selecting components.
Establishes and maintains key vendor distributor contacts to locate and procure select components as well as acquiring proper specification documentation.
Manages critical components shortages and leverages knowledge to find creative component solutions- using component variants/alternatives.
