As a cyber engineer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing security measures to safeguard computer systems, networks, and data against cyber threats. You will work closely with other IT professionals to design and deploy secure solutions.
**Responsibilities**
- **Cybersecurity Strategy**: Develop and implement cybersecurity strategies, policies, and procedures to protect organizational assets and sensitive information.
- **Security Infrastructure Design**: Design, implement, and maintain cyber toolset, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and other security technologies to prevent unauthorized access and ensure data confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
- **Compliance and Regulatory Compliance**: Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and data protection laws such as GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS, etc. Conduct periodic audits and assessments to validate compliance.
- **Security Research and Development**: Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies. Conduct research and evaluate new security tools and techniques to enhance security capabilities.
- **Collaboration and Communication**: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, development, and business units, to integrate security controls into business processes and projects. Communicate security risks and recommendations to stakeholders effectively.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field.
- Proven experience in cybersecurity roles, preferably in engineering or architecture.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, standards, and best practices.
- Hands-on experience with security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, SIEM, endpoint protection, encryption, etc.
- Proficiency in programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation and scripting tasks.
- Familiarity with networking protocols, operating systems, and cloud computing platforms.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or vendor-specific certifications (e.g., CCNA Security, CCSP) are a plus.
- Analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working with: Tanium - EDR, Zscaler - Proxy, S1-Endpoint Protection/AntiVirus, Netskope
- CASB is required.
- Experience in implementing, maintaining, configuring, updating, and creating policies
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written advanced English. (B2+)
