Job description
The Sr Automation Engineer is dedicated to enhancing Stryker's operational efficiency and streamlining business processes through the strategic deployment and management of RPA technologies. This individual leads the lifecycle of automation projects, from identifying and assessing opportunities to the development, deployment, and continuous optimization of automated solutions, ensuring they align with both business objectives and industry best practices. Leveraging tools like UiPath, the engineer crafts scalable, secure, stable, and robust automation workflows, conducts extensive testing to ensure effectiveness, and oversees the seamless integration of these solutions within the existing IT infrastructure. Responsibilities extend to the evaluation and refinement of existing automations, aiming to enhance workflow efficiency, performance, and reliability. As an integral part of the automation journey, the engineer not only builds and implements these solutions but also takes ownership of deliverables, ensuring that automation use cases and scenarios are meticulously constructed and documented to facilitate successful adoption and maximize the transformative impact of automation across the organization.
**What you will do**:
- RPA Solution Architecture: Collaborate with RPA architects to develop scalable, secure, and compliant RPA solutions that integrate seamlessly with current IT systems, focusing on maintainability and future growth.
- Development and Implementation: Utilize UiPath to develop, test, and implement RPA solutions, following best practices in software development lifecycle management, including version control, code review, and continuous integration/deployment (CI/CD) processes.
- Quality Assurance and Testing: Implement comprehensive testing strategies, including unit, system, and user acceptance testing, to ensure RPA bots perform as intended and meet user requirements. Address and resolve defects and issues promptly.
- Integration and System Connectivity: Oversee the seamless integration of RPA solutions with internal and external systems, utilizing APIs, web services, and data exchange protocols to ensure interoperability and data consistency.
- Documentation and Change Management: Create detailed documentation for RPA processes, including technical specifications, process flow diagrams, and user manuals. Manage changes to RPA deployments, ensuring mínimal disruption to business operations.
- Monitoring, Maintenance, and Continuous Improvement: Monitor the performance of RPA solutions post-deployment, conduct regular maintenance, and iteratively improve processes based on performance data, user feedback, and evolving business needs.

**What you need**:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent in a related field (Software, Computer, Electrical, Biomedical Engineering, etc.). Graduate degree preferred.
- Fluent spoken and written English. Any other language is a plus.
- UiPath Automation Developer Associate or Professional Certification is a plus.
- ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, JDE systems knowledge is a plus.
