Job descripcion:
This Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Lead will be pivotal in driving M&A excellence within Stryker, focusing on the seamless integration of cybersecurity, cyber risk, and IT assurance systems during mergers and acquisitions. This role involves close collaboration with strategic vendors to ensure the alignment of the M&A roadmap, strategy, and the successful delivery of system enhancements and maintenance post-acquisition.
The scope of work encompasses active participation in discussions with the Corporate Strategy and Integration architect team to evaluate and prioritize new M&A opportunities and projects. The M&A Manager will ensure adherence to the best practices in M&A lifecycle management, establishing a robust governance framework for each acquisition in partnership with the Project Management Office (PMO), which includes but is not limited to technical due diligence documentation, cost forecasting, vendor management, and integration planning. Success in this role is defined by timely, budget-conscious, and thoroughly documented acquisition integrations and the smooth transition of systems and processes to the Stryker Service Delivery organization.
**What you will do**:
**M&A Integration**:
- Lead the process excellence across all M&A integration processes (e.g., due diligence, integration planning, change management) to ensure a seamless transition of services.
- Drive continuous improvement in the M&A process through innovative solutions like automation, self-service platforms, and efficient integration methodologies.
- Monitor and manage licensing, users, and usage levels to ensure compliance with contractual agreements and efficient service utilization post-acquisition.
- Implement proactive monitoring of integrated services to identify and resolve issues promptly, ensuring the delivery of exceptional service quality.
- Gather and act upon feedback from internal stakeholders and acquired entities to drive continuous improvement in the integration process.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation related to the acquisition including system documentation, integration plans, test scripts, knowledge bases, and emergency contact lists in an accessible and organized manner.
**Governance**:
- Oversee vendor performance to ensure alignment with post-acquisition expectations and contracts.
- Conduct regular vendor meetings to review performance, expectations, and adjust contracts as needed.
- Establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for M&A integrations, reporting metrics to Information Services (IS) leadership and stakeholders. Discuss integration performance, issues, roadmaps, and other relevant details regularly.
**Demand Management**:
- Stay informed of ongoing and upcoming M&A activities that impact the organization, advocating for service and support readiness in all projects.
- Promote the adoption of strategies that ensure the maintainability of services with low Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) post-M&A, including adherence to a comprehensive M&A lifecycle process, availability of critical documentation, and provisioning of support and maintenance resources.
- Design services with a focus on minimizing transition time and maximizing customer experience through strategic service design and delivery.
**Service Delivery**
- Ensure clear, well-organized, and accessible documentation of requirements and test scripts for ongoing maintenance and support post-acquisition.
- Manage the storage of source code and solution artifacts in a version-controlled environment, ensuring the integrity and accessibility of all integration-related data.
- Conduct design and code reviews to uphold quality standards, and advocate for automated build, deployment, and testing practices to streamline integration efforts.
