Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance / Accounting or related field
- 2+ years of experience working in professional service operations and/or financial operations, for example order to cash operations
- Experience inputting, extracting, and analyzing data in Microsoft Excel
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple priorities in a fast paced, growing and ambiguous environment
Amazon Web Services is seeking a Billing Specialist to support our fast growing Professional Services practice. This is a unique opportunity that will give you hands on experience in Billing & Invoicing and Revenue Management across the countries in the Americas that we support and drive high-impact, scalable solutions ultimately accelerating our enterprise customer's journey to the cloud.
Key job responsibilities
- Own and deliver all financial transactions for Professional Services including monthly billing, credit and rebills, prepayments, support revenue and cost accrual reconciliations and reporting.
- Provide day to day support of stakeholders inquiries while adhering to defined SLAs.
- Invent new ways to define and measure program effectiveness and organizational productivity.
- Streamline and standardize billing processes to align with global best practices and maintain controls and compliance.
- Coordinate with teams across Leadership, BusAdv, Finance, Accounting, Tax, Legal, HR, Financial Operation teams, and IT to ensure that the Standard Operations Procedures are followed and implemented.
- Provide input and consultation to business operations and sales team to ensure understanding and consistency.
- Lead special projects to drive improvements and integrations across the Professional Services Operations and partnering business teams.
- Able to dive deep to inspect and scrutinize large data sets to mitigate business risk and downstream impacts of billing activities.
- Able to assist with necessary UAT testing as part of market expansion launches and SFDC, Commerce Platform, Clipper and OFA troubleshooting as needed.
