What You Will Achieve

Your accounting skills will help in analysis of financial information and preparing financial reports. You will maintain and oversee the accounts and financial records of the company. You will be responsible for preparing the Balance sheet and Profit and Loss statements, and other accounting schedules and reports. You will update the journals, ledgers, and other records of financial business transactions. You will verify this data for accuracy and prepare reports and reviews based on it. You will be responsible for the adherence to and communication of accounting and auditing policies and procedures. You will also manage data entry activities in the accounting systems.

As a Team lead, you will be involved in managing work teams in a division, along with technical and financial resources of the team. You will coach your direct reports on day to day activities. and be relied on to solve complex problems within your area of expertise.

How You Will Achieve It
- Manage multiple projects (timelines, work plans, deliverables) within a team.
- Consistently identify process improvement opportunities including the timely implementation of solutions.
- Research technical and operational accounting issues.
- Lead global projects and cross functional activities that are in addition to existing role and responsibility.
- Maintain complete and accurate tasks lists and status of open items.
- Develop (formally or informally) and influence staff and senior accountants through coaching and mentoring., including key colleagues outside of your direct report team.
- Ensure process changes are in compliance with Pfizer accounting, internal control policies and Sarbanes-Oxley, including related document maintenance.
- Work independently with other departments and international locations to research, analyze and resolve discrepancies and irregularities.
- Maintain and develop relationships with groups serviced by Americas.
- Provide guidance and support to the divisions and/or Controllers related to acquisitions or divestitures.
- Support site compliance, yearly maintenance and development of the site risk assessment and site security plan.

**Qualifications**:
Must-Have
- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum of 3-5 years of technical accounting and people management experience
- Practical experience of US GAAP and Statutory Accounting, and an Experience of other GAAP's an advantage.
- Demonstrated experience managing accounting and/or finance teams in a complex and global environment
- Experience working across multiple levels and function
- Proven experience in managing people
- Demonstrated leadership and excellent verbal and written communication skills
- SAP& HFM experience
- Fluency in English and Spanish Required and Portuguese Desired

Nice-to-Have
- Master's degree
- CPA
- Relevant pharmaceutical experience.
- Public accounting experience
- Key Enterprise Resource Planning and Edge system experience
- Advanced System Application & Products and Hyperion Financial Management skills
- Strategic and analytic skills with experience in management in a related field
- Demonstrated skills in MS Office, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint
