**Description**
LightForce, the world's only provider of patient specific, 3D printed orthodontic braces is looking for a bright, motivated Operations Data Engineer.
As an Operations Data Engineer at LightForce, you will join our growing team of analysts.
Our Data Engineering position offers a high level of autonomy and flexibility.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
- Expanding and optimizing our data and pipeline architecture
- Improve our data collection techniques includes writing/ debugging code
- Proactively seek opportunities to implement robust, scalable, and reliable data solutions across the business.
- Troubleshooting data infrastructure/ structure problems, able to plan a short term fixes along with long term solutions
- Analyzing business data, including project budgets, risks, and resource allocation.
- Develop and optimize data pipeline and data management workflow
- Developing and providing periodic reports and status updates upstream and downstream as needed.
**Education and Experience**
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, statistics, information systems, or relevant engineering field
- A minimum of 3 years experience working in a Data Engineering role
**Required Qualifications - must haves**
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills, with good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to details and technicalities
- Experience with big data tools
- Experience working and coding with relational SQL, JQL, and databases
- Experience with object-oriented/object function scripting languages such as: TypeScript, Ruby, etc.
- Experience working with various reporting tools, such QuickSight or Tableau
- Experience with DevOps environments within AWS and Google cloud services
**Preferred Qualifications - nice to haves**
- Experience in data pipeline and workflow management tools such as: Azkaban, Luigi, Airflow.
- Strategic thinker, see the "big picture"
- Excellent troubleshooting skills working with big databases
- Knowledge of Scrum and Agile methodologies to execute and achieve desired outcomes
**Physical Demands**
- Requires the ability to use hands, see, listen, and speak
- Requires seeing computer screen(s) for long periods of time
