OMM Team Lead will use their skills and experience in a high paced, dynamic Operational
Material Management Organization that is responsible for getting the right parts to the right
place at the right time.
This position will manage the availability of material through the proper
material Master Data setup, capacity planning, and purchase order management with internal and
external suppliers
**Responsibilities**
- Lead all OMM operational site activities, related processes and staff in the development
and execution of a high-performing operational team.
- Short and long-term assurance of supply, material availability for production/shipments,
supplier delivery performance, compliance to the quality system as well as all purchasing
related information and data management.
- Managing phase-in/phase-out product activities in close coordination with cross-functional
New Product Introduction teams to ensure effective and efficient execution.
- Driving continuous harmonization and improvement of material supply processes ensuring
Philips Global Processes execution.
- Managing phase-in/phase-out product activities in close coordination with cross-functional
New Product Introduction teams to ensure effective and efficient execution.
- Inventory management, analysis and lead global inventory aligned with the global strategy,
planning, and forecast.
- Monitor item changes and secure planning parameters in SAP
- Drive and implement supplier managed and owned inventories for the Business units on
charge.
- Central contact and coordination for global and key x-site suppliers, manage material
escalations, action plans and communications to the majors' stakeholders
- Forecast communication with suppliers, including validation or new product indroductions.
- Manages forecast with suppliers, including validation, -tier supply availability check and
follow-up the deliveries of the team.
- Align and balance material planning with production planning which assure the MPS
accomplishment and a correct vendor capacity.
- Places orders with suppliers and monitors the outstanding order package in terms of
delivery time, quality, and price
- Key performance indicators include Cost of non-Quality (excess and obsolete inventory),
PPV's (Price Variance), POs confirmations, Past Dues, CLIP and Customer Service Level /
Delivery (fill rates / OTTR) and Supplier delivery performance.
- Identify material shortage risks at suppliers, including n-tier
- Manage the mitigation and involve procurement in case commercial leverage is needed
- Manage x-functional shortage review meeting and escalations.
- Provides input for and joins supplier assessments and performance reviews
- Support initiatives which allow to run projects to improve performance of the area and the
team.
**Requirements**:
- Minimum 4 years' related experience or their equivalent
- Minimal technical knowledge for maintenance parts purchases and inventory management,
- Procurement Governance experience
- Cross-functional experience in related functions and leading complicated negotiations and
stakeholders.
- Global Project Management experience.
- SAP experience and ERP system data analysis
- APICs (desirable)
- Medical Devices experience will be a plus.
