Funciones del Puesto
- Contribute to strategic network plans and reviews; designing effective networks following industry best practice; prepare and completing action plans.
- Maintain and update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and participating in professional organizations.
- Interaction with IP management systems like IPAM
- Maximize network performance by troubleshooting network problems and outages and scheduling upgrades.
- Document Infrastructure design, Develop and deliver professional upgrade proposals with diagrams and plan of action.
- Supporting IP network platform builds and associated connectivity needs.
- Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the customers security and networking team.
- Install, configure, and support network equipment, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Ability to work on multiple project timelines, deliverables, and information requests for our client's network needs.
- Support Activations of complex networks and after-hours work.
Requisitos del Puesto
- Minimum 6 years' experience in Operations support environment ie NOC, Engineering teams, etc
- Minimum 5-7 years' experience on Fortinet and Meraki Hardware/Software.
- Minimum 4 years' experience in monitoring software ie SolarWinds
- Expert working knowledge of the 7 layers of the OSI model
- Expert working knowledge of Spectrotel managed routers and firewalls: i.e., CISCO, JUNIPER, FORTINET, MERAKI and/ or various other vendor equipment.
- Expert working knowledge of SD WAN services: i.e., VELOCLOUD, BIGLEAF, and FORTINET GW.
- Expert working knowledge of data services to include but not limited to MPLS, VPN Protocols, QOS, and Private Line Connections.
- Advanced knowledge of ITSM and CRM platforms: i.e., SALESFORCE, REV.IO
- Advanced knowledge of Cabling and Network Topologies
- Advanced knowledge of Fiber/DS3/DS1 technologies
- Organizational skills and abilities to self-manage workload.
- User level knowledge utilizing Microsoft Office.
- Capable of generating new ideas and continuous improvement efforts
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Flexibility in scheduling
- Demonstration of a "customer first" attitude
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- Multiple high level certifications needed:
- CCNA or CCIE Cisco certification

- Trouble ticket owner responsibilities for tickets in the repair ticket system.
- Provide lead engineering level support to Spectrotel users for troubles involving VoIP services, routers, firewalls, and SD WAN platforms.
- Coordinate, preform and follow up on maintenance events on Spectrotel platforms
- Provide SME guidance on current and new technologies inside
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair actions on Spectrotel managed routers and firewalls: i.e., CISCO, JUNIPER, FORTINET, MERAKI and/ or various other vendor equipment.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair actions on SD WAN services: i.e., VELOCLOUD, BIGLEAF, and FORTINET GW.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair actions on various carrier portals: i.e., 8X8, COREDIAL, INTELEPEER, AND BROADVIEW/WINDSTREAM.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair actions on Internet Over Wireless services: i.e., BEC and CRADLEPOINT.
- Provide technical coaching and training to NOC technicians
- Provide technical and logical feedback to NOC on troubleshooting steps taken on issues to ensure knowledge growth for NOC employees
- Deep dive on critical or chronic customer troubles that require the best technical support we can offer our customers
- Provide technical product testing to our product management team to ensure new products are fully tested and documented
- Make complex requested changes to customer networks, firewalls, vpns etc.
- Perform other duties as instructed by Spectrotel Management.
- Lead peers in advanced troubleshooting and maintenance activities
- Handle projects provided by management
- Flexible hours (available to work evenings, weekends and be on call).
- Occasional overtime is based upon the department workload
