**Position Description**
**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**
Proven experience with 5+ years of IT operations with mínimal of 3 years of global network management:
- Experience managing and implementing LAN/WAN security (firewall, IPS/IDS)
- Experience dealing with WAN circuit providers, including specification of services, review of SLA and technical specifications, cost analysis.
- Experience coordinating implementation of WAN circuits with vendors
- Experience managing and configuring Cisco IOS - router & switch ACL & configurations
- Experience managing and configuring layer-3 switching and inter-VLAN routing with Cisco and HP switches
- Experience implementing routing and redundancy protocols; Experience with architecting and designing secure data-center networks that scale
- Experience with VLANs, Spanning-Tree, LACP, OSPF, VRRP, Multi-Chassis Trunking, Multi-Chassis Link Aggregation
- Experience with firewall configuration and international site-to-site VPN administration.
- Sound understanding of fiber Channel and iSCSI Channel configuration
- Sounds understanding of WAN Optimization and Virtualization technologies.
Specific knowledge of Riverbed, Talari and Aryaka technologies preferred.
- Intermediate to expert understanding of firewall configuration and maintenance, experience with SonicWall equipment preferred
- Intermediate to expert with configuration, installation, troubleshooting, and supporting networking devices, wireless (WiFi) equipment, computer servers and peripherals
- Experience in implementing & supporting PBX and voice SIP network.
- Ability to document and explain network topologies; understand and diagram existing network; diagram, explain and plan for future upgrades; experience deploying and/or maintaining an enterprise campus network
- Ability to work independently on fault detection, analysis, & resolution with mínimal supervision as a team member and perform network project implementation / deployment as project lead.
- Strong verbal & written communication skills and ability to interface with users at all levels of the company across different time zones.
**Essential Functions**
- Oversee Teradyne global network infrastructure - design, analyze, implement secure measures in a project-oriented team comprised of both IT and Information Security professionals
- Perform day-to-day network maintenance functions, including WAN/LAN monitoring, configurations, & network security enforcement
- Install, support and maintain hardware and software infrastructure according to best practices, including routers, aggregators, switches, Wi-Fi controllers, and firewalls.
- Research and recommend new network designs and technologies to enhance overall network performance and security
- Monitor & automate global LAN/WAN alert notifications.
Provide reports & trending analysis on voice / data performance, latency, bandwidth utilization with sniffer, network monitoring tools, and NAC
- Develop and document data/voice LAN / WAN topologies, IP schemes, vendor services.
- Cross train peers in network administration & fault resolution skills
**Education and Experience**
- Bachelors degree in computer science or related field
- 5+ years in IT system and/or network operations
- Minimal 3 years as a network architect designing Enterprise LAN and WAN solutions
- Desired certifications: CCNA, CCNP, MCSE, CISSP
