ROLE SUMMARYThe Meetings, External Engagements, & Travel (MEET) Payment Team Lead position is responsible for processing the payments in compliance for US MEET transactions and additional payment process related.This Team Lead will demonstrate accountability and integrity in the face of challenge and respond to change with agility, optimism, and innovation.They will collaborate cross-functionally across the organization as needed.This role will be based in Escazu, Costa Rica and manage 7-10 colleagues.The Team Lead will work with regional operations teams, sourcing teams, payment teams, and other Centers of Excellence as appropriate.This role will also promote the growth and development of their team, in coordination with their Manager.Role ResponsibilitiesClosely monitor process related to MEET Payments, ensuring that all deadlines are achieved in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and to the quality expected from Pfizer.Work with Legal and Local Compliance to get approvals for exceptions when needed.Consult with MEET colleagues, business colleagues, healthcare professionals and external organizations to resolve any errors, issues, or rejections as needed.Provide additional meeting oversight for key events, including Business Unit coordination, MPA oversight, walkthroughs, post-event feedback, budget management, third party coordination, customer needs, and daily support.Ensure audit support documentation is gathered appropriately.Ensure payment execution and/or confirm that HCP/Patient and HCO received proper payment.Ensure accuracy when Approving Payments submitted by the team.Lead market touchpoints, support MEET Analysts on escalations.Provide leadership on special assignments.Demonstrate strong communication skills and relationship skills working with the commercial business.Employ innovative approach to assisting in improving processes and ability to train and deploy changes.Work with other MEET leaders regionally to ensure consistency and standardization.Work closely with MEET Operations Leads on bringing efficiencies to how we work and ensuring compliance standards are met.Support on training and documentation processes.Lead market touchpoints, support MEET Analyst on escalations and Manager on special assignments.Partner with markets/regional process leads to understand additions/changes to local country annex requirements.Support in hiring high-performing talent and developing strong future leaders and colleagues.Support with coaching and development for team members through structured process and tools including individual and talent development plans.Create a team environment that drives high colleague engagement and adoption of making Pfizer an amazing place to work.Deliver strong innovations and other peer-to-peer communities to share ideas that improve processes and working environment.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Ability to manage a teamAbility to create QUALIFICATIONSTypical Years of Experience: 3+ years (1+ years with MBA/MS) of experience in management, compliance, and customer focused operations with significant volumes and risk (incl.audit and/or finance experience)1-2 years of experience with MAPP transaction processing preferredMinimum of bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related disciplineFluency in English is a mustStrong compliance experience and financial or audit controls backgroundLeadership experience to train or develop others and bring innovative ideas to the teamComfort with ambiguity, anticipates changes, and influences direction of innovative operational strategiesPrevious experience with pharmaceutical companies is preferredExperience with accounting or compliance/audit transactions, preferably in a shared service with strong compliance controlsDeep expertise and understanding of a large compliance related, customer facing operations teamAbility to engage with stakeholders to resolve issues and achieve objectivesUnderstanding of MAPP Policy terms and healthcare compliance policiesProficiency with data analysis and visualizationExperience with Foreign Corrupt Practices Act transactions
