The **Master Data Senior Supervisor** is responsible to lead the global operational team in Costa Rica and China and applies for the 9-step program in all areas.
This person is also responsible to hire the right employees and develop them.
In the Global Master Data Team, the Master Data Senior Supervisor proposes improvements in regards of team development and performance as well as ensuring timely, accurate and compliant services.
This is a global role supporting all businesses and sites globally.
The interaction with stakeholders from different departments (Finance, Supply Chain, QA, Procurement, IT) is prerequisite for this position.
**Key responsibilities**:
- Alignment with domain owners on priorities with the overall team goals and Lonza's strategy and priorities.
- Make sure to have the right people onboarded in the team to work efficiently and is able to deal with various topics and stakeholders.
- Represent the Global Master Data Team globally and makes sure the standards are implemented.
- To provide input to the Global Master Data Team development, strategy and highlight potentials for improvements.
- To make sure the right stakeholders are part of the discussions and enables to come up with optimized solutions.
- To deal with escalations and challenges that is escalated from the team members or the business or the enabling functions.
- To make sure the team is developed and empowered on a daily basis as well as get the necessary trainings.
- Handles standard requests globally and develops the team the for most efficient handling of daily activities.
- Handles special requests for the all Master Data domains and regions.
Escalates complex requests to respective domain owners.
- Troubleshooting in case of Master Data issues.
- Supporting the Global Master Data Team in different Master Data tasks like reports, cleansing and simple mass changes or other assigned tasks.
- Monitors employee productivity, provides constructive feedback and coaching.
- Organizes workflow and ensures that employees understand their duties or delegated tasks
- Sets goals for performance and deadlines in ways that comply with company's plans and vision
**Key requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, IT, Finance, Mathematics, Chemical/Bio Engineering or a related field.
- Advanced English Level (B2+, C1 level).
- Experience with Master Data preferably in Material Master Data
- Significant experience in managing a team within periods of substantial change.
- Working experience in leading continuous improvement projects.
- Proficient user of ERP (SAP) and Excel skills (including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables).
- Analytical skills, willingness to take on new challenges, support a culture of process improvement and problem-solving, and deliver results on time.
- Make accurate and timely decisions.
- Understand internal and/or external customer needs.
- Ensures quality standards are maintained while delivering results.
