**About this opportunity**
The
**Manager, Facilities Services **is responsible for managing the facility, the people, processes, and everything else that's either directly or indirectly related to the facility. Facility Services Manager goes beyond primary maintenance responsibilities (such as cleaning, ventilation, security, etc..) into employee services (such as Transportation Services, Parking, Reception, Cafeteria, Medical Services, etc..). Manager, Facilities Services is responsible for providing a safe and productive work environment for employees and often creates the first impression for our employees and customers when they visit our company.
Also ensures that the property and environment are always in working condition and that employees have a safe and functioning workplace. Those responsibilities generally go well beyond building maintenance and repair as well. Furthermore, our Manager of Facilities Services managers to ensure that their workplace meets the needs and requirements of employees. The facility manager should take charge of transforming the building and environment accordingly. As stated above for other duties, It goes beyond traditional maintenance and repair.
**In this role, you will**
- Coordinates and project manage multi-craft activities involved in preventive, scheduled, and emergency maintenance, cleaning, repair, and renovation of buildings, mechanical systems, physical plant, and/or grounds.
- Oversees all facets of the daily operations of the organizational unit, ensuring compliance with the country and industry laws, policies, and regulations.
- Develops or assists with the development and implementation of policies and procedures consistent with those of the organization to ensure efficient and safe operation of the unit.
- Oversees activities of contractors, vendor personnel, and suppliers; Monitors contracts for compliance and controls costs; monitors general expenditures of unit; performs quality control inspections to ensure adherence to contract specifications and industry standards.
- Supervises personnel which typically includes recommendations for hiring, firing, performance evaluation, training, work allocation, and problem resolution.
- Maintains compliance with departmental security, audit procedures, and Align policy.
- Performs quality control inspections to ensure adherence to contract specifications and industry standards.
- Develops and implements systems and processes to establish and maintain records for the operating unit.
- Develops and maintains emergency/disaster preparedness and recovery plans.
- Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
- Ensure business and employee satisfaction (Internal Customers Experience) with services under his/her management.
- Plan and coordinate all installations (telecommunications, heat, electricity etc.) and refurbishments
- Inspect buildings' structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations
- Review utilities consumption and strive to minimize costs
- Supervise all staff facilities staff (custodians, technicians, groundskeepers etc.) and external contractors
- Control and administer services activities like parking space allocation, waste disposal, recycling, building security etc.
- Handle insurance plans and service contracts
- Manages Department Operational Cost and support technically all analysis and forecasting for current and future capital expenditures.
**In this role, you'll need **
**Typically**:
- BSc/BA in Business Administration, Hotel Management, Engineering, or relevant field
- Master degree is a plus
- +7 years of Experience as Hotel manager, Facilities manager, or relevant position
- Experience leading teams
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Knowledge of basic accounting and finance principles
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Good organizational and leadership skills
- Good analytical/critical thinking
