**About the role**:
DHL Express is hiring a Health & Safety Supervisor to join the Costa Rica Shared Service Center Team. In this role, you will work as an integral member of the HR division. Currently the position will be supporting the different H&S processes our business unit, with high standard of quality and process improvement ideas.
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Prepare, monitor and evaluate a Risk Prevention Work Program, in accordance with the needs of SSC CR.
- Prepare monthly reports on the recognition and evaluation of accidents and occupational diseases in the different departments of the Institution, according to the Work Program.
- Advise leaders of different functions on Risk Prevention issues, proposing solutions to control risks at work.
- Propose, at least once a year, a Project to update the Internal Regulations of Order, Hygiene and Safety, in accordance with the risks inherent to the institution.
- Carry out educational actions on Risk Prevention, promoting employee training.
- Monthly record of statistical evaluation and results of work accidents and occupational diseases. Analysis of the accident rate and projection of the Additional Contribution Rate, with a report at least every six months.
- Participate in the meetings held by the Joint Committees and advise them on technical matters of Hygiene and Safety.
- Keep the company's risk maps updated
- Carry out basic induction, providing information to officials about security.
- Support with the execution and periodic review of the activities of the Quality of Life Program, getting involved in the implementation, control and evaluation of the proposed actions.
- Work with global and local government and consulting entities to support compliance audits.
- Collaborate in the management and implementation of projects and programs associated with Workplace Safety, Well-Being, Bandera Azul, our Go Green Program, our Brigade and more.
**Educational Qualifications & Other**:
- Bachelor's Degree: Administration, Engineer, Occupational Health, or Health and Safety specialization. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Full English Professional Proficiency.
- High Capacity for Analysis, Organization and Planning.
- Excellent level and ability to interact with people of different hierarchical levels.
- Knowledge of the Costa Rican legal labor regarding health and safety regulations.
**Expected experience**:
- 5+ years of experience in the H&S field, with 2+ years in a supervisory role.
- Proven experience leading H&S strategies for international companies.
- Experience leading reporting and audits with government and consulting entities.
