The ideal candidate for this role will have a background in technical accounting/GAAP, coupled with the ability and desire to apply the concepts to "hands-on," operational processes.

People who can interpret information clearly and accurately to concisely communicate results and recommendations to stakeholders, senior management and their teamsWhat You Will DoEngage with business partners to enable insightful analysis and efficient processes to support and challenge strategic decisionsCollaborate with business partners to timely and accurately execute inventory transactionsOversee and support execution of inventory month end responsibilities spread over various team membersCalculate, reconcile, and analyze Inventory and Inventory reserves for period close; heavily utilizing advanced Excel techniques and/or Power Bi tools.Prepare month-end journal entries and formulate required accruals in accordance with GAAPMaintain balance sheet accounts associated with the Orthopaedics Division inventory to include gross and net accounts and complete balance sheet reconciliations in accordance with Stryker policiesEnsure all Inventory reports generated are accurate, complete, and reconcile to the General Ledger.As requested, perform ad-hoc analytical support, such as: analyzing inventory trends at various data levels, testing inventory reserve levels for appropriateness and diving into the Orthopaedics supply chain to understand product fluctuationsSupport business on implementation and monitoring of Internal Controls and other Compliance requirements.Ensure all Company policies are followed completely and accurately.
Responsible for complying with Sarbanes-Oxley and all other applicable financial laws and regulations, company policies and implement corrective actionsMaintain up-to-date process documentation that follow changes in the business; may require updating or creating advanced Excel formulas and/or Power Bi workspaces or reportsWhat you need:Education & special trainings:Bachelor's Degree in Accounting: RequiredCPA: PreferredExperience researching and applying GAAP: PreferredQualifications & experience:3-5 years of experience in a finance function in a matrix international company (preferably American or Multinational company)Manufacturing experience preferredPublic Accounting experience a plusAdvanced proficiency with Excel (required) .Proficiency with Oracle, SAP S4 Hana and/or SAP BW (required)Ability to interpret and analyze data accurately and efficientlyFluency in English requiredStrong ability to coordinate action across dispersed workforce and highly matrixed organizationStrong written and verbal skills enabling effective communication with all levels of managementEffective problem-solving skillsPhysical & mental requirements:Ability to work well with cross-functional teams and collaborate across multi-functional dotted-line relationshipsAbility to multi-task and meet deadlines consistentlyGood communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, attention to detail and ability to communicate complicated issues effectivelyDemonstrated ability to perform consistently under varying business pressure as well as ability to adapt to a quickly changing environmentStrong analytical, problem solving, and organizational skillsAttention to detail in making evaluative judgements based on the analysis of informationTravel Percentage: 10%
