**Location**
Central and South America (Managing IT security operations across 15 countries); the occupant of the position will be located in the country where is current based.
**Role Purpose**
**Main Accountabilities**
- Lead and manage the IT infrastructure team, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure the team's success in delivering high-quality infrastructure services.
- Develop and execute strategies for the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
- Oversee the management of network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless networks, to ensure optimal performance and connectivity.
- Manage the organization's server infrastructure, including virtualization technologies, server hardware, operating systems, and backups.
- Ensure the availability and integrity of data center operations, including power and cooling systems, physical security, and disaster recovery planning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to identify infrastructure needs, define requirements, and implement solutions that support business objectives.
- Develop and implement IT infrastructure policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and analyze infrastructure performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement proactive measures to optimize performance and minimize downtime.
- Manage vendor relationships and contracts related to IT infrastructure services, ensuring service level agreements are met and costs are optimized.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT infrastructure management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience in network infrastructure, server administration, virtualization, storage systems, and data center operations.
- Proven track record in successfully managing IT infrastructure projects from conception to completion.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on delivering innovative and practical solutions.
- Solid understanding of ITIL framework and best practices for IT service management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, MCSA, VCP, or ITIL are highly desirable.
