- The Zoetis Technology Strategy & Architecture team is looking for a Financial Analyst to manage and report on financials for our technology investment portfolio and run spend as part of our monthly operating processes including performing analysis on our financial data and researching various gaps that occur during our financial close.
- Responsibilities:
- Partner with our Finance Team on accruals and depreciation, collaborate with technology service leads for accurately managing spend on time through PO, accruals, invoices, and project financials
- Manage the details associated with all Investment/Project and Run from the early preparation stages through the completion and closure, including funding and project budget checkups, assisting in the creation of purchase orders for consulting, staff augmentation, hardware acquisitions, software acquisitions changes in license agreements and any other project related spend.
- Perform all Investment/Project and Run related monthly transactions including actuals, ensuring timely processing of invoices, providing explanation of current spend vs budget/forecast
- Support required month end reporting, coordination of month-end analysis and accruals with all technology leaders. Ensure all accruals and reclasses requested have sufficient supporting documentation.
- Manage data cleansing initiatives and reporting as required (i.e. ensuring and all invoices are processed and purchase orders are closed once projects are complete)
- Support Investment/Project financials - budget, actuals, and forecast, reclasses
- Reconcile financial data across the technology portfolio, understand variances, resolve them with help of project managers/cost center manager and take corrective steps to prevent future recurrence
- Understand Capex requisition process and ensure its alignment with project financials
- Work with project managers and cost center owners to manage budget and approved spend for all Investment/Project and Run
- Support data cleanup and other ad hoc requests
- Purchase to Pay (P2P)
- Provide guidance and assistance on P2P processes, interacted with external vendors to ensure smooth processing of commercial agreement. Provided support on PO /invoice inquires. Help technology leaders understand PO status and resolve invoice process issue.
- Provide hands on trainings of Ariba, SAP, P2P and accruals processes to several contractors
- Conduct P2P process trainings to technology colleagues through Lunch & Learn and various Bootcamp trainings.
- Provide support to PO owners with SAP invoice process status and payment date and submit AP ticket as needed. Helped supplier to identify bundled invoice payments and delayed payment info_._
- Procurement activities for projects and cost centers:
- Provide guidance and assistance on procurement process interacting with new and existing vendors to ensure smooth processing of commercial agreements
- Assist project managers in managing and reporting on project spend
- Provide data on request such as invoices paid, investigation into invoice and LE issues
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision, work on multiple topics simultaneously and adjust to changing priorities
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Experience:
- 5 years of experience in corporate operations and financial management
- Experience of financial planning in a large organization; preferably technology organization
- Knowledge, Skills, Ability Requirements:
- Ability to operate across multiple programs, business areas, and portfolios
- End to end understanding of Financial processes
- Strong PowerPoint, and Excel skills
- Advanced demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret complex financial information, using it to provide business advice and reporting to make strategic business decisions.
- Must be highly analytical and inquisitive with strong organizational abilities, keen attention to detail, and ability to meet monthly deadlines and goals
- Excellent organizational, managerial, interpersonal and communication (written and oral) skills, ability to work in a team-based, continuous improvement environment, ability to deal with ambiguity
- Knowledge of SAP and Ariba SAP required, Apptio is plus
