The Opportunity:
Avantor is looking for a dedicated and experienced Human resources coordinator.
The Human Resources Coordinator will provide support to HR Business Partners and partner with their functional business leaders and associates within VWR to implement key HR processes and programs. This position is responsible for supporting a wide range of duties for the HR Programs in Costa Rica. Responding to queries regarding human resources to ensure HR processes and policies are adhered as they pertain to benefits, employment, compensation, payroll, recruitment, training, and human resources related policies and procedures.
This role will be a Temporary 8-12-month assignment with full-time hours base out of Heredia, CRI.
What we're looking for
- Education: Bachelor's degree in human resources or administration
- Experience: Minimum of three plus years of experience in a Human Resource environment.

- Proven problem-solving skills and computer skills (Microsoft Office intermediate level, HR
- Software).

How you will thrive and create an impact
- Coordinate all pre-employment and ongoing (annual) physicals and background checks for new hires or annual checkups.
- Process New hire documentation. Send documents to require departments or office (HRIS, Payroll, Benefits, Caja Costarricense de Seguro Social, INS, and Finance).
- Coordinate or conduct all new hire orientations, and ensure materials are updated.
- Prepare associates files (general and medical).
- Audits the payroll.
- Assisting HR Business Partner with internal training programs for VWR staff.
- Assist with Talent Management initiatives. Including PMP administration, Code of Conduct and new hire orientations, Policy and Procedures training, Safety Trainings and coordinating lunch and learn training for associates and managers. Coordinate associates' trainings. Custodian of the associate training records for audits.
- Resource to employees and managers with questions as relates to internal policies and procedures such as overtime, vacation, attendance etc.
- Prepare all new hire data, any changes and separation paperwork to payroll and HRIS.
- Assist LOA administration. Tracking exempt employee vacation/sick balances and providing non
- exempt with updates and letters on balances mid and end of year. Maintaining Taxable benefits for Costa Rica.
- Prepare reports as need it.
- Perform related HR projects as assigned. Some projects include Engagement, Health and Wellness initiatives.
- Special Projects: Member of the Safety Committee.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL EFFORT
Typically works in an office environment with adequate lighting and ventilation and a normal range of temperature and noise level. Work assignments are diversified. Examples of past precedent are used to resolve work problems. New alternatives may be developed to resolve problems. A frequent volume of work and deadlines impose strain on routine basis.
