Global Lifecycle Manager (GLM) is an individual contributor role within HP Global Service Supply Chain (SSC) print platform lifecycle management organization. The SSC manages >95,000 support materials for HP print products, ships more than 9 million materials, and processes 650,000 whole unit repair events globally per year.
MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
- Lead as global service supply chain new product introduction owner;
- Influence new product design for serviceability.
- Gather from business partners and communicate across SSC stakeholders with need to know; product roadmaps, timelines, strategies, and service customer experience expectations.
- Define product service bill of materials content and material strategies that balance stakeholder inputs, diverse business strategies, SSC operational and system capabilities, worldwide consumer laws, customer orderability, safety, quality, and cost.
- Assure quality translation of strategies and governance into system master data values that enable supply chain functions and customer ordering.
- Define and manage NPI project plan deliverables & timelines for worldwide service supply chain operations functions and systems readiness.
- Manage a variety of product portfolios; collaborating & driving innovative worldwide strategies & actions necessary to ensure that the material supply chain portion of the end-to-end services delivery solution is timely and capable of providing industry leading customer experience with balanced cost & inventory performance.
- Assess lifecycle processes and innovate with the use of corporate provided toolsets to automate, remove waste, improve process quality, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Lead as worldwide focal for strategic and operational SSC product support & material level decisions, collaboration, and influence for end-to-end material lifecycle events with business units and worldwide service functions.
- Translate management directives and objectives into viable programs and ensure that there is a solid connection between business and organizational goals, activities, and metrics.
- Clearly and effectively communicate activities, issues, risks, and milestones, associated with each lifecycle plan to cross organizational and functional stakeholders.
- Accountable for CS SSC material master data governance to ensure quality and compliance.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- First level university degree or equivalent experience.
- Typically, 6-10 years of experience in a supply chain related function.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQURIED
- Must have strong people skills, mastery of written and verbal communication in English, and executive level presentations skills.
- Experience leading and or participating in worldwide teams in a high-paced, complex, virtual environment strongly desired.
- Flexibility to meet the global requirements working with all time zones worldwide.
- Project management training and proven skills
- Experience with data collection and analysis to influence decisions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products: Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize work of self and others.
- Self-starter and independent thinker
- Experience in developing business plans/proposals.
