The Controller will serve as the Head of Finance and oversee all aspects of the organization's financial strategy, operations, and reporting.
This role is critical to ensuring the company's financial health, compliance, and growth.
The Controller will lead the Accounting team, provide strategic guidance to senior leadership, and ensure that all accounting practices align with company goals and regulatory standards.
This position is remote.

** Location: Remote Type of Job:  FT  International Consultant Salary:  $3,000-$3,500 per month Responsibilities: As the Controller, you will have a leadership role in managing the company's financial operations.
Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Strategic Financial Leadership : Develop and implement the company's financial strategy, aligning with organizational objectives and growth goals.
Financial Reporting & Analysis: Oversee the preparation of detailed financial reports and present findings and recommendations to senior leadership.
Accounting Operations: Supervise and ensure the accuracy of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the budgeting process and provide accurate forecasting to guide financial planning and decision-making.
Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure adherence to financial laws, regulations, and internal policies while identifying and mitigating financial risks.
Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the Accounting team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure financial stability and liquidity.
Audit Coordination: Lead internal and external audit processes, ensuring compliance and transparency.
System Optimization: Oversee the use of financial systems, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions to streamline operations.
Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with internal departments, external partners, and stakeholders to align financial operations with organizational goals.
Financial Policies: Develop and enforce financial policies and procedures to ensure operational efficiency and accountability.
Requirements: To be considered for the Controller position, you should possess the following qualifications: Educational Background: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification is highly preferred.
Experience: 7+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Experience in international accounting and U.S. practices is required.
Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the unique financial needs of the conference, events, or hospitality industries is a plus.
Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, mentor, and inspire teams to achieve organizational goals.
Financial Acumen: Expertise in financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly.
Technology Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in accounting software, Excel (up to VBA), and financial management systems; experience with CRM reporting tools and GPT technology is a plus.
Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to develop strategic solutions to complex financial challenges.
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and thoroughness in all financial operations.
Remote Work Capability: Ability to thrive in a remote work environment with strong organizational and time-management skills.
