**Primary School Principal**

Flourish Children's School is seeking a faith led, student-centered leader to serve as the Principal of our Dual Language Christian Primary School. The Principal will report to the Director of

School and ensure the efficient operation of the administrative and academic departments.

Together they will work with the Academic Coordinator and Office Administrator to provide leadership and support to our small group of faculty, students, and families as they work together to achieve the mission and goals of this start up school in Costa Rica.

We are located near Tamarindo, Costa Rica in a constantly growing population with a strong desire to reach out into our local community by providing scholarships and sharing the good news of Jesus through a quality educational program. Our team of leaders, teachers, and staff feel like a family as we support one another for the mission of Christ.

**Responsibilities and Duties**:
Instructional Management:

- Create and oversee the implementation of the school's standards, curriculum and instructional programs.
- Work with faculty to promote a culture of high expectations and student success.
- Evaluate teacher performance and provide ongoing support and professional development opportunities.
- Develop and coordinate school wide standardized assessments and evaluations to monitor student progress and ensure that all students are receiving an individualized, rigorous and engaging education.

School Climate:

- Foster a positive, supportive, and inclusive school culture that promotes the well-being and success of all students.
- Collaborate with staff, students, and families to create a safe and respectful learning environment.
- Encourage and support school-wide initiatives and programs that promote student engagement and well-being.

School Improvement:

- Lead the school's efforts to continuously improve academic outcomes and student success.
- Identify areas for improvement and develop and implement plans to address them.
- Collaborate with other administrators, teachers, and community partners to align resources and initiatives that support student success.
- Grow school into upper grades and begin laying the foundation for middle school.

Personnel Management:

- Oversee the recruitment, selection, and development of a highly effective and dedicated staff.
- Mentor and support new teachers with lesson planning, classroom management and parent teacher communications.
- Evaluate staff performance and provide ongoing support and professional development opportunities.
- Collaborate with other administrators to ensure a well-coordinated and supportive school-wide team.

Administrative Duties:

- Manage the day-to-day operations of the administration, including budget and resources.
- Ensure compliance with all laws, policies, and regulations.
- Develop and maintain effective systems for communication and collaboration with founders, board members, financial advisors and scholarship committee.

Student Management:

- Create and oversee student discipline and behavior management programs.
- Provide support and resources to students and families as needed.
- Collaborate with other administrators, teachers, and parents to support student success and well-being.

Professional Growth and Development:

- Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
- Stay current with best practices and emerging trends in education and leadership.
- Share expertise and knowledge with FCS staff.
- Create a culture of growth and collaboration with the implementation of PLC

Community Relations:

- Build and maintain strong relationships with families and students.
- Collaborate with community churches, partners and special service providers to support student success.
- Represent the school and its mission in a positive and professional manner to the community.
- Expand the scholarship program by sharing promotional information to find private donors and support to increase the pool of scholarship funds available for applicants.
- Ensuring scholarship parents commit to their volunteer hours and integrate into the school community as part of the scholarship agreement.

**Requirements**:
? Bachelor's degree in educational leadership or related field.

? Intermediate level Spanish

? At least 3 years of successful experience as a classroom teacher is preferred.

? Minimum of 1 year experience in instructional leadership roles.

? Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

? Proven ability to lead instructional improvement and curriculum development.

? Understanding of and commitment to the mission and values of Christian education.

? Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and founders.

? Reaching students and families for Christ as the center of everything we do.
