Capital Accounting has a crucial role supporting Intel's IDM 2.0 strategy, which includes significant manufacturing expansion plans (e.g., new fabs in Arizona, new Ohio mega-site, and new European site in Germany) and building a world-class foundry business, Intel Foundry Services. The Capital Financial Reporting Senior Financial Analyst will join a global Capital Accounting team of 25 responsible for assuring the proper recording, valuation and reporting of Intel's property, plant and equipment.
The Capital Financial Reporting Senior Analyst will oversee the successful execution of certain Fixed Assets Accounting close processes required to properly state Intel's financial statements.
**Key responsibilities in this role include, but are not limited to**:
- Preparing close deliverables including journal entries
- Providing reporting/analytics to the Global Capital Accounting Team, External Reporting and to the Internal/External Auditors
- Performing Business Process Management activities
- Extracting key decision drivers from the data
- Proactively identifying accounting and business risks and issues along with recommended solutions
- Be an engine of productivity and efficiency with good critical thinking skills
- Partnership skills are key to listen/engage/convince a variety of biz partners.
- Excellent Communication, influencing, foster innovation.
**Qualifications**:
**Minimum Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
- 3+ years of accounting experience
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel (Formulas, Pivot tables, etc.)
- Advanced English Level
- Must have permanent-unrestricted right to work in Costa Rica.
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Prior experience in Fixed Assets Accounting
- Working knowledge of GAAP, SOX and disclosure principles and related Intel Policies
- Systems use proficiency
- Knowledge of SAP and Power BI
- Financial analysis, business and finance acumen and advanced analytics
