Join Western Union as Supervisor, Settlement Accounting Operations.Western Union powers your pursuit.We are looking for a people oriented, driven to results and problem solving professional to join as Supervisor, Settlement Accounting Operations in Western Union.Role ResponsibilitiesThis position has the responsibility over operational results and people management over one team for one specific business unit or function, along with meeting targets, reporting results, and metrics to management level.Oversee the operational accounting for sub-ledger such as cash application, cash reconciliation, AR reconciliations, general ledger reconciliation and investigations, month end close, along other operational settlement accounting processes.Handle escalations, root cause analysis, foster improvement initiatives and processes standardizationAssure all internal controls are in place and properly met to deliver high qualityEnsure compliance and expectations of all metrics established within the operationRepresents the function in settlement accounting operations related projects / initiatives and acts as a liaison between business operations, support departments such as Finance, Product, Technical teams, and developers.Role Requirements+ 3 years of people management experience+ 5 years of work experience in accounting general ledger, accounts receivable, accounting operations or finance rolesUniversity degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economy, or related areasDemonstrated strength in interpersonal communications, critical thinkingProven ability to problem solving skills, identify key issues and root causes, as well the proposed solutionComfortable working in a fast-paced, highly structured, deadline-driven environmentFluent EnglishStrong MS Office Suite skills including ExcelStrong accounting knowledgeFluent English language skillsBeing analytically minded as well as customer focused.
