**Your tasks**:
- Purchased goods, materials, components or services in line with specified cost, quality and delivery targets
- Ensures continuous supply of required goods and materials, and communicates any supply problems which may pose a risk or impact on business operations
- Delivers briefs, updates and reports as needed and when required
- Suggests ideas and strategies to improve operational efficiency, add value, aid business performance and work towards a strategy of continuous improvement
- Explores alternate sources for goods and materials
- Mentors junior level purchasing associates
- Actively and closely collaborates with planning team in order to get best possible delivery dates to serve our overall committed customer delivery dates
- Collaborates with global sourcing and category management
- Completes purchase requests with domestic and international suppliers by inputting purchase orders, expediting deliveries, and verifying all transactions
- Conducts operative purchasing tasks based on the global H+S process (ORF11)
- Contributes to continuous improvement projects
- Coordinates with planning, logistics, and quality for daily business
- Coordinates with departments to ensure that material is available as required to meet production schedules and customer delivery requirements
- Defines the desired purchasing lot size, including evaluating future demand
- Runs SAP-ERP reports as requested
- Examines and analyzes departmental purchase requisitions for completeness and accuracy of information
- Determines methods to process requisition based on spend timeliness required and any existing open contracts
- Handles coordination of external processing tasks like plating, heat treatment or jacketing
- Maintains services and office equipment by conferring with suppliers
- Monitoring and recording service agreements to ensure terms are met
- Coordinates supplier returns in case of quality issues(RMR)
- Monitors supplier delivery schedules and intervenes in case of problems
- Monitors the purchasing schedules and identifies possible delays in order to trigger the early warning process
- Monitoring of supplier delivery performance in order to avoid supply constraints
- Develops supplier relationships and resolves supplier issues
- Responsible for the communication of material status throughout the entire procurement cycle
- Schedules product or material transportation
- Sources MRO (material required for organization such as office supplies, tools etc)
- Supports our purchase price index goals/continuous cost improvements
- All other relevant duties as assigned**Your profile**:
- Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field
**Experience**:
Minimum 3 years of experience in a purchasing or production planning role
Skills/Knowledge:
Ability to read, write, speak English.
Intermediate SAP knowledge
A solid working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Capable of handling multiple tasks in parallel
Ability to handle change effectively
Ability to prioritize and plan
Ability to multi-task and problem solve

Demonstrates ownership and responsibility at a high level
