As the BI Specialist, you are the customer representative working with the customers in your function to ensure they are receiving the reports, dashboards and DSR support they need to meet well-defined business needs. You are responsible for working with the customers in your function, to design, develop and deliver analytical data and insights to solve business problems for your function.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Work with customers to formulate, design and prioritize a specific function's backlog items to assist the BI Domain Owner in the development of
Lead requirements gathering, design, and develop of business intelligence solutions for a specific business function.
Mentor other data and analytics team members when it comes to working with visualization and reporting tools
Engage with your BI Domain Owner. The BI Domain Owner is your coach and mentor as you work on consolidating, refining and developing the report portfolio aligned to your function. Work with them to plan and refine the engagement strategy with your stakeholders, frequency of interactions, understanding the users, their wants, needs, pain points and frustrations and drawing out the right level of detail needed to produce quality value-add reports.
Accountable for the ultimate quality and delivery of the DSR BI deliverables and escalating as needed to BI Domain Owner to ensure the other Domain team members are completing work assigned to them on time and as expected.
Form a trusted advisor relationship with your function stakeholders (SBEs, YBs, BBs), working closely with them to understand their business, the technologies they use and their data needs, ensuring requests are in line with their business priorities and enabling them to make objective, informed decisions.
Continue to learn and grow your functional knowledge and expertise by developing and growing a partnership with the Advisory Domain Leads, Product Owners and Data Architecture & Engineering and Data Integrity members within you Domain ecosystem and sharing that knowledge and expertise with your team members.
Review and analyze data to find patterns, trends or areas in the data that signal a potential for improvement in business practices.

You have a working knowledge of analytic technologies (e.g. Alteryx, SAS, SQL, R, Python, BRIO, Tableau, Adobe Analytics, etc.)

EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in liberal arts, BI, data science, computer science, econometrics, operations research, statistics, Information Management, or related analytical field
2+ years of working experience in a BI visualization tool (Tableau preferred) and in an ETL tool (Alteryx preferred), and strong SQL skills with experience developing complex queries
Background in consulting or a client-facing role
Strong in MS Office Package usage skill especially MS Excel.
Very strong spreadsheet and relational database skills
Experienced in working within a complex, corporate, environment
Demonstrated ability to manage, manipulate, analyze raw data, research data issues, draw conclusions, provide resolution, and develop act
