Description First Factory's Business Analyst offers a strong bridge between our development team in Costa Rica and our global clientele.The person in this position will analyze business requirements and craft detailed functional and design specifications for all aspects of a software solution; be responsible for striving for high quality and operational efficiency within agile/scrum teams, and work with Product Owners and Engineering on the design, testing, and implementation of new software as well as defect corrections and enhancements to existing software.Main Responsibilities:Translate business requirements or high-level user stories into detailed user or technical stories and acceptance criteria that can be efficiently implemented by the agile development team with minimal additional inputConduct an analysis that identifies the current state of business processes and/or system inadequaciesDeliver recommendations for process and system improvements that assist the business in achieving its goals and objectives, leveraging best practices and professional experienceWork with team members to proactively identify, communicate, and resolve issues and risks that impede the execution and/or success of the projectAble to work on multiple assignments and/or projects simultaneouslyCollaborate with business stakeholders, agile team members, and project managers to ensure timely delivery of project deliverables Requirements Experience writing agile user stories as a Business Analyst, with a focus on budgeting, planning, and reporting.JIRA experience preferredStrong written and verbal communication, including technical writing skillsExperience with the Agile methodologies: SCRUM and Kanban, SAFe AgileExperience writing SQL queries Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a teamAble to work with a distributed workforceScrum Product Owner Certification is a plusSome of our benefits:Work From HomeWe believe in hybrid work.
