You will design, build, deploy, test, and support our growing WordPress ecosystem both publicly and internally. Through partnering with stakeholders, you'll drive business value while also producing great code.WordPress Developers here build beautiful editor and frontend experiences with Gutenberg, create plugins for custom integrations, and help support the hosting, maintenance, and upgrades of WordPress. In addition to growing and refining functionality within WordPress, you will also gain exposure to platform tools that help support it including Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, and Terraform.You will be expected to take ownership of projects and identify business design gaps with Blackstone business analysts. You'll tackle a variety of problems from creating custom data integrations to promoting business efficiency through automating content creation. You'll devise elegant solutions to Blackstone's most important problems and put your own best ideas to work in an entrepreneurial environment inside one of the world's most successful companies.**A Day in this Role**:- Efficient provisioning and maintenance across diverse environments.- Use modern software development methodologies and tools like JIRA to collaborate on and deliver projects- Write automated unit, integration, and deployment tests- Identify opportunities to automate away repetitive tasks- Lead technical design and code reviews to drive projects towards the best results- Promote, implement, and evolve development best practices- Listed a few responsibilities or task the hired person will be performing.**The Expertise Requested**:- Bachelor's or Master's Degree: Typically in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.- Professional demonstrated experience building WordPress websites (5+ years).- Fluency in Javascript and familiarity in one modern framework (react, vue.js, next.js, etc)- Strong experience working with MySQL- Passion for the WordPress platform.
