Inspect, remove, install, repair, replace, modify, disassemble, reassemble, and calibrate complex aircraft mechanical and electro-mechanical systems in accordance with maintenance manuals, test procedures and other military publications.**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:- Perform the receiving, in-process, final quality, flight safety inspections and functional operational tests during organizational, intermediate and depot level maintenance, modification and repair of military tactical aircraft systems or associated components.- Accept or reject work accomplished to ensure compliance with customer specifications, standards, and technical data.- Perform analysis of defects and interprets quality control rejection and failure trends in order to provide creative solutions for improvement.- Monitor safety, training, and certification requirements. Monitors training and certification requirements of the site Quality Control department.- Perform Safety and Foreign Object Damage Inspections.- Monitor tool control programs, inspects, and maintains records to ensure that measuring and test equipment meets calibration requirements.- Reviews aircraft forms and records related IAW contract requirements.- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization policies and applicable laws.- Promotes a positive safety culture within the Quality Control department.- Perform additional duties as assigned**EDUCATION REQUIRED**:- High School Diploma or GED.- FAA Airframe and Powerplant License.**PREFERRED**:- A.A./A.S or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.- FAA Inspection Authorization.**SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**:- Minimum 10 years of experience of which 8 must be specialized in supporting an aviation/aerospace program.- A thorough working knowledge of TO military specifications is essential.- Prior Quality Control experience.- Leadership experience.- Host nation language proficiency per contract requirement. LATAM countries Spanish Level 2 in both Listening and Reading L2 R2.**PREFERRED**:- Previous Quality Control experience on rotary wing specific assigned aircraft: UH-1- Experience in customer support.- Technical writing and or editing experience.- Ability to maintain strong customer relationships.- Knowledge of Army Regulations 95-1, DA PAM 738-750 751, FM 3-04-500 CH.8 QC or Air Force Technical Orders System.- Familiar with CFR Part 43, 91, 121, 135, 145 Quality or Inspection experience previous RII Required Inspection Items authorization.**Qualifications****QUALIFICATIONS**:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
