Senior Value Stream Manager

**Main Purpose of Job**:

- Leading the sustaining activities of their value streams regarding people, safety, quality, production, financials & operational excellence.
- Actively supporting sustaining and new launches activities regarding engineering, planning, procurement, deliveries & maintenance.
- Promoting outstanding work environment within their value streams, ensuring communication, respect, recognition, inclusion & dialogue are at the operations bases.
- Developing proactive & perdurable interrelationships between the value streams and other functional support departments, assuring the value streams are compliant with established policies and procedures set forth by the company.
- Performing as the main customer interface with Viant, delivering a world class customer service experience.

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage direct and indirect resources to accomplish business goals.
- Maintain morale and employee relations. Promptly recognize milestones completion, quality related achievements & go beyond attitudes.
- Develop, sustain & enhance working networks within and between departments.
- Promote a safe work environment by sponsoring continuous improvement initiatives around EHS.
- Ensure next level (downstream) routinely performance and development reviews by setting and maintaining individual and group sessions based on established objectives & desirable career paths.
- Coach and develop direct resources to help achieve IDPs.

- Lead value stream members while seeking excellence in all quality & compliance related metrics and goals.
- Ensure value stream business units profitability by hitting or exceeding financial projections; manage all required improvements towards materials usage, labor efficiency, overhead expenses & sales achievement.
- Promote & lead value improvement projects (VIPs) and OpEx initiatives to enhance profitability.
- Manage production upstream planning & programming to ensure reaching business goals
- Act as the liaison between the value stream team, the company & the customer.
- Support Business Development on liability negotiations with customers when agreements have been broken or any condition has been dismissed.
- Support Business Development initiatives with current or potential customers.
- Develop and deploy performance/reporting improvement ideas & tools for value streams under responsibility.
- Develop and deploy performance/reporting improvement ideas & tools through all value streams and departments.
- Support new launches as required.
- Provide business status reports to customer and upper management (local/PLT). Generate appropriate content for such review.

Knowledge / Education
- Bachelor´s Degree in Engineering or Business related field.
- Basic knowledge in Microsoft Excel (Format, basic formulas, etc).
- Intermediate knowledge in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, Advance formulas, macros etc).
- Advanced knowledge in production management (lean tools, line balance (applicable for assembly VSTs), product costing, MUV, labor efficiency, etc)
- Basic knowledge in applicable safety procedures.
- Bilingual English/Spanish - Advanced intermediate English level (B2 minimum)
- Intermediate knowledge in supply chain planning (Forecast, supply & demand, MRP, purchasing lead times, manufacturing lead times, level loading, BOMs)
- Intermediate knowledge on finance (MUV, P&L statement, PPV)

Job Experience
- At least 6 years in a production management role (i.e. Operations Superintendent, Value Stream Manager I, Value Stream Manager II)
- At least 6 years of experience in people management (Production supervisors, VST members) with demonstrated results of development initiatives (i.e. IDP, turnover, promotions, corrective action plans, terminations).
- Demonstrated partnership with peers to achieve business results.
- Experience within the medical device manufacturing field or in any other regulated industry
- Demonstrated successful customer interaction experience (Customer feedback, KPIs management, etc).
- Demonstrated successful interaction experience with difficult customers (Customer feedback, KPIs management, etc).
- Demonstrated experience with customers with at least 2 different customer representative.
- Experience executing successful ramps for new product introduction launches.
- Demonstrated experience interacting with commercial team.
