Us & Canada Payroll Specialist

Role Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities:

- Contributes to the business's strategic direction based on internal knowledge.
- Support with the input, audit, and process bi-weekly and monthly payroll for all employees across the North America Countries.
- Resolves complex payroll queries and escalations with employees and stakeholders using oral and written communication skills (English)
- Reconciles third party payments.
- Resolves general ledger issues using advanced Excel skills.
- Assist with the preparation and execution of year end processing.
- Prepare financial reports for accounting data and assists with all audits.
- Develop /Review SOPs to ensure all are up to date.
- Assists payroll specialists in all countries.
- Contribute to payroll services projects at country or business unit as needed.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Degree or equivalent experience or equivalent and / or relevant qualification
- Working knowledge with Payroll Systems - Workday is highly preferred.
- Exceptional multitasking and organizational skills
- Working knowledge of basic accounting principles.
- Knowledge of the rules and regulations affecting payrolls in the region: pension, benefits, taxes, etc.
- Experience working with payroll vendors, dealing with critical cases.
- Experience with payroll acquisition/transition/expansion processes (desirable).
