The position is a strategic member of the Latin America Regional Controllers team.
Responsible to support countries in the transformation of processes to ensure proper generation and submission of local regulatory reports with accuracy and in a timely manner, and able to lead the generation and analysis of local regulatory reports
The position reports to the Regional Local Regulatory Reporting office, and interacts with local CFO, Country LLR Head and Controllers, Controls team, FRSS and GFT in Latin America.
A key component of this role is to lead the transformation of countries, including definition of controls, best practices, standardization and process improvement, identification of right placements, promote data quality solutions, as well as the delivery of local regulatory reports
This Regional role is critical in ensuring proper accountability of results and reports in line with business and finance needs, under a controlled environment
- Leads the design, roll out and governance of transformation efforts to ensure accomplishment of business and regulatory requests
- Ensures proper control points and audit requirements are included in LRR process
- Participates in MCAs definition, audit pre assessments, and supports audits needs
- Ensures right placement of functions through negotiation with other areas leads, and identify possible centralizations and migrations
- Performs analysis of existing regulatory reporting processes and solutions
- Understands requirements and challenges from reporting teams
- Supports optimization of reports and process improvements efforts through digital tools
- Support the analysis and delivery of reports to local regulators based on local requirements
- Assist with closing the books and sub-ledgers, including passing appropriate required adjustment entries and consolidating financials at the end of each accounting period
- Facilitate the implementation of procedures and the development of analyses and reports
- Ensures data quality gaps and solutions
- Partners with GFT to ensure alignment in data quality resolution
- Liaison with Cluster Head, CFO, Country Controllers, GFT and Regional LLR
- Participates in all Finance projects and initiatives to support LRR
- Provides support to country Finance teams on an ad-hoc basis (e.g.
audits, regulatory inquiries, reports centralization, etc)
- Performs other duties and functions as assigned

**Knowledge and Experience**:
- +10 years of work experience in accounting financial reporting/auditing role
- University/College degree in Finance/Accounting or similar
- +7 years Regulatory Reporting experience
- Citi Finance tools knowledge is a plus (Pearl/IFW, FullSuite, RegInsight)

- Excellent analytical and communication skills required in order to negotiate often at a senior level, and influence others

- Advanced verbal and written English, Portuguese is a plus
