The Operational Risk Grp Manager is accountable for management of complex/critical/large professional disciplinary areas.
Leads and directs a team of professionals.
Requires a comprehensive understanding of multiple areas within a function and how they interact in order to achieve the objectives of the function.
Applies in-depth understanding of the business impact of technical contributions.
Strong commercial awareness is a necessity.
Generally accountable for delivery of a full range of services to one or more businesses/ geographic regions.
Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level.
Some external communication may be necessary.
Accountable for the end results of an area.
Exercises control over resources, policy formulation and planning.
Primarily affects a sub-function.
Involved in short
- to medium-term planning of actions and resources for own area.
Full management responsibility of a team or multiple teams, including management of people, budget and planning, to include performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions and terminations and budget approval.
**1) Global Operations Manager for the BAO Support Team**
- Accountable for the operational execution of all TPU BAO Support activities globally, including providing top-level guidance and direction to the approximately ~140 staff member team

Examples include:
a) Drive operational performance to consistently deliver timely and quality-driven results;
b) Define Key Process Indicators to measure quality and productivity results against set targets
c) Conduct weekly staff meeting with direct staff and with Global Team Lead meetings

d) Ensure that staff has clear goals and expectations with regards to the results by which they will be measured
- Support Global BAO Support Manager with all governance meetings (bi-weekly) model to review and share results for BAOs/TPOs supported, which includes:
a) Establishing standard reporting dashboards

b) Formalize a consistent communication protocol to ensure their reporting requirements are understood and fulfilled

c) Identify opportunities for enhancement
- Prepare and run BAO Satisfaction surveys, take action on resulting identified opportunities
- Perform a lead role in the design, development, and execution of key initiatives
- Ensure adherence to TPU's global operating model, inclusive of its process, procedures, and standards
- Participate in continuous improvement activities
- Actively monitor and assess staff's development needs, implementing required training and development opportunities

2) **Lead for Global BAO Support Hiring and Training Program**
- Global oversight and coordination over BAO Support Analysts training program including new controls implemented and changes to existing controls' protocols across the Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) program
- Manage all staffing requirements for TPU Costa Rica site inclusive of operations and bao support (direct and indirect resources)
- Coordinate hiring requires for global BAO Support staff across the sites including new resource requirements for dedicated as well as backfill for attrition and leavers

**3) Governance Meetings and Senior Management Presentations**
- Coordinate the BAO Support monthly governance meetings with (external to TPU) Senior Stakeholders for each Dedicated BAO Support Team showing key performance metrics, trends, and key items to highlight

**Qualifications**:

- 5 to 8+ years relevant experience
- Significant experience in Operational Risk is a must.
Other risk and control disciplines would be a plus - credit, and market.
- Experience in Internal Audit or Financial Control would be desirable.
- Expertise in the following would be beneficial: Fraud Awareness and Risk Management Operations and Systems (Information Security Standards, Vendor/Outsourcing Management and MCA Legal and Regulatory Compliance Management of a global operations and a complex environment that includes global teams.
- Excellent communication skills - verbal & written

**Education**:

- Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred
